I take care of several ACR's that are tracked frequently.

I have found about half of these cars have had premature wear of the steering rack inner rod ends over time.
Basically, they have lateral movement in the wheels when checking them on the rack.

I am sure it is due to the loads associated to the high mechanical grip of these vehicles.

Make sure you check regularly and re-torque the wheel bearings as well.

Is this an ACR only problem or is it any tracked Gen V, ie my T/A 2.

I've only seen it on ACR's that are tracked hard.

Dan, regarding the wheel bearings, did you observe the wheel bearing seals leaking in the front or rear?

We had one come right from Conner, 5 miles on it with a bad inner tie rod end.
Had about 1/4" of movement in it, dealer replaced it under warranty.

Problem is the inner tie rod ends according to FCA are only available with the whole rack!!
