So I picked this up over the weekend. Thought the color would be a little different than the others out there when it was ordered...but did not expect it to be Snake Skin Green:o! Jeep calls the color "Mojito". Parked next to my SSG Vipers there is very little difference between the 2 colors.

I think it's close enough no one is going to second-guess it. Now just put stripes on your Jeep!

I guess so. I get my balls busted a lot for having 2 cars the same color...but they are my cars and I like that color on them. As for the Jeep it was a toss up between that green color and a yellow...but the yellow was called "Nacho" and that was too much of a risk if that did not come like the older yellow Jeeps.

The other half will be driving it mostly, but so far I like it. Pretty good pickup and smooth shifting when I drove it home. One thing that drove me bat shit was this thing called "Auto Park" as a safety feature. Apparently if you press the start button and then the brake or open the door after it has been started it will not allow it to move when you put it into drive. For some reason I could put it in reverse and it would move, but when I shifted to drive I would get a message telling me to "Put gear into Park, then shift to Drive". That did absolutely nothing as in drive the engine would rev but would not move.

Had to turn the Jeep off, open the door, close the door, and start the whole process again and everything worked. I guess this is a safety feature for people not to have a vehicle drive over them if they left the vehicle, walked in front of it...while still in gear. While as stupid as that sounds...

Jeep has added a feature (and you can turn it off) that when you come to a stop light or are in heavy traffic that if your foot is on the brake for a certain period of time the engine will turn off to save gas. When you take your foot off the brake the engine will start, and if you are in gear with your foot off the brake you will start moving forward. This is easily disabled on the dash until your turn the Jeep off, then it resets to be active until you turn it off again. So hypothetically someone could pull into their driveway, sit with their foot on the brake, vehicle turns off, they do not realize what is going on, get out (yeah I know...) and potentially have the vehicle move without them in it.

Our 2018 Durango has the same auto park feature. It senses the garage side wall when backing out and stops the vehicle so we shut it off and it stays off then use the back up camera. As for the auto off for the engine we have to keep shutting it off each time we start the vehicle, there is a module you can buy and install to disable it for 150.00, I just push the button each time, you get used to it.

FCA is notorious for this. When I was a parts monkey ( I was able to escape finally), I remember the same paint code having two or three different names for the color. Customers would flip shit when they order a certain paint code and the name was different.

correct ---Mango Tango is Toxic Orange , for example!

What is interesting to me though is IF these are the same color...Prefix painted the Vipers...so did the factory paint the Jeeps?

Not sure I am on the same page with your question, as it is a proprietary color , so FCA could paint it anyplace , but no it would not be painted at Prefix . Same thing with Mango Tango , done by Corporate on a Journey, renamed and painted by the contractor for Vipers at the time , as Toxic Orange.

We're cut from the same cloth, love green!

I have a Jeep SRT but was considering also getting the rubicon for off roading situations when we want a full vehicle vs the UTV. Sometimes you want air conditioning and full windows. Really love the green, you got me thinking this would also be the color we'd go with!
