Unreal....... out in my Viper yesterday and big issues arose and just about made it home.
Now, my 2005 SRT10 has done 9216 miles. Yep, just under ten grand. At around 6 thousand , i bought from moparparts.net (which incidentally, cannot order online anymore as big red writing on their website says so.... anyone any ideas whats going on there??) brand new OEM ones.
3000 miles plus and i may have another thats blocked (or very blocked) There was a strange smell, not sure whether i could say burning fuel smell or more of a burnt plastic type of smell.... perhaps a combination of both is the nearest i can describe it.
Is it fair to say oxygen sensor has failed and too much fuel has affected my CAT and caused blockage? on left side, it comes out normal noise and pop and pressure/temp kinda feel. On other side its way less but feels hotter. All my temp guages are normal and i have no warning lights on dash.
Its alarming its on (potentially..) 3rd set of CATs under 10 thousand miles!!! CATs and sensor meant to last wayyyyyy longer!!!
Funny thing, i was thinking strongly of getting high flo CATs (seen on viperstore.com) and getting Corsa or Belanger CAT backs :-) On that, i will be keeping stock headers. Would like to replace all my oxygen sensors but when i look online, i see different part numbers and makes for my make/year car which is confusing.... :-( I want to get good ones, proper ones, not knock off one or dodgy ones :-/ I want to replace all of the sensors too. Anyone recommend the best ones please?
Thats guys, the last (bloody recent!!!) CAT replacements cost me a fortune!! Something is seriously wrong to do this in such small mileage.
I run high octane fuel (98 here in Oz) Car runs fine on it. Cant be Aussie weather can it?? Wouldnt be much different than Florida for example. (I live in the hot n humid tropical climate in Oz in Far North Queensland....
I really need some big-time help in this area please. I am at a loss what and why this is happening :-(

Have you looked at your plugs? Tested wires? Considered a failed injector?

Just go with high flow cat's and crorsa exhaust. It will reduce the cross over pipes and let the car breath much better. If you decide to not go that route and stick OEM, make a post on the classified section looking for someones OEM cat's that they removed before spending big bucks on new. Replace all 4 O2 sensors while your in there regardless, just for the piece of mind. Good luck.

Cracked exhaust manifold, exhaust leak, non-oem O2 sensors, bad tune, Paxton superchargers, stuck open injector, misfire or ignition system problem... those are your main causes.
