Ladies & Gents,
For those in search for a mint, meticulously maintained Gen V, I posted my viper under the classified section on the forum. It’s black, with tan laguna interior GTS, with track pack. 100% factory stock. As optioned, according to SRT, 1 of 2. Not a single swirl mark and the cleanliness of the chassis deserves a concours award.
Most importantly, passed all recalls. Oil changed every 6 months regardless of miles. Rear diff and trans fluid changed summer 2017. Of course 2 sets of keys, all glovebox paperwork (window sticker) ect..
Will transfer the mopar maximum care extended warranty 7yr/60k. It expires 12/21/2021
Send PM if interested and classified ad located on the forum.

What was the point of buying the car if you weren’t going to use it? Why are you selling?

Same point as purchasing a vacation home that gets utilized once a year. I own a collection of vehicles. To each their own. Restoration of C2 corvettes is my true passion. The viper has taken the back seat as of late. Thank you for your inquiry. Please feel free to private message if interested.

Taking ViperGeorge’s advice I added more pictures last night to my ad. God only knows what happened?! The classified webpage is not user friendly and no longer shows my car. I’m currently reaching out to webmaster. Please Standby

I’ve had three offers close my firm price. I don’t take them very seriously. I priced it fair, but will not give the car away. Have yet to advertise elsewhere. I use Hemmings when I sell my C2 corvettes. Will most likely use again

I see that you have the 10 year / 100,000 extended warranty. Does that mean you failed R28?
AKTOFL
08-15-2018, 05:02 PM
No, that means he passed the R28. If you had to go in for the R28 you got the 10year/100k regardless If you passed it or not. If you didn’t pass you got a new engine, If you passed you got an extended warranty.

My vehicle passed R28, and like every vehicle that passed, was given the 10y/100k. Car is unmodified and concours condition.

Thanks Jon. I also purchased the Mopar Maximum
care, 7 year/60k mile extended warranty. For those that don’t know, it’s bumper to bumper warranty with $100 deductible. Expires 12/21/2021.

"bumper to bumper" is a false belief on the max care warranties. They cover functional items only, not cosmetic issues. IE I got stuck with the shift bezel plate breaking a clip and coming apart every time I tried to use 5/6/R. Despite it's interference with the shifter, it was deemed a cosmetic part by mopar, and therefore not covered under max care. They will cover - 'bumper-to-bumper' any of some 3,*** odd parts deemed mechanical, not cosmetic.
**edit: I believe there are add-ons you can buy to the max care coverage that cover items such as paint, etc.. but the Max Care plan itself doesn't

I appreciate your contribution to the max care extended warranty. Of course, the buyer can decline the transfer of the extended warranty. I figured it would be an appreciated gesture. Deductible is $100. Not bad if a very expensive functional covered part/labor needs to be addressed.

They should appreciate it - these plans ARE worth the investment. Just trying to prevent assumed interpreting of it so there's no misunderstanding if they need it down the road thinking they got screwed. Your post of the coverages is a good follow-up.
Great looking car. What exactly is in the Track Pack? Also, what other options are on the car? Thanks

William can you please be more specific as to which warranty you are referring to? My car carries both manufacturer 10yr/100k motor warranty AND Mopar MaxCare extended care 7/60k (which will expire 12/21/2021). Posted within this thread is a copy of all items covered.

When one buys a new viper It comes with a manufacturers warranty which Includes 3 years or 36000 miles basic coverage and 5 years or 100000 miles of limited power train coverage So with this recall do I understand correctly that Your manufacturer warranty starts over from the date the car was titled for 10 years or 100000? And I assume just apply to that power train part of the warranty ? And lastly, is this maxcare warranty something separate ? Thanks
swexlin
08-19-2018, 10:36 AM
I have the same two warranties. I purchased a max care, and also received the 10 yr, as I have an R28 car. The powertrain warranty is just that, it doesn't cover a window regulator failure, for instance, which the max care (minus $100 deductible) should.

William, the Mopar issued motor warranty (10 year/100,000 mile warranty) will expire 12/21/2024. The MaxCare is the extended warranty, a Mopar product, I purchased from Mopar (7 year/60,000 mile warranty). The MaxCare is transferable as well as motor 10 year/100,000 mike warranty. Included in this thread is the warranty documentation of what is/ and is not covered for the MaxCare extended warranty. My apologies, but at this time I do not know how to be more helpful.

Mine didn't fail either but why does my powertrain run out on 4/19 of next year? My Local dealer has told me my car is going to blow, not IF but WHEN & he want's to charge me over 2k more to buy the extended warranty over what a friend has quoted me out of town that works at a Dealership! TO ME, that SUCKS Big Time that my LOCAL Guy is trying to use Scare tactics to say that! From what I've seen & heard there's less than 5% of these cars that have spun a bearing!

I passed R28 as well. Again, for the umpteenth time, for US cars at least, ALL R28 cars, pass or fail, got the warranty. If your dealer says no, find a competent dealer. It has to be in the system. If not, open a ticket with FCA.

Swex, I’m leaning that way. I know once I sell it, I’ll regret it. Than the problem would be finding one that was maintained by an owner as OCD as me.

I appreciate it! I’ve browsed the inventory and still have the car priced less than most dealers, definitely will less miles. What I found most interesting is the amount of people who prefer purchasing a car at the dealers premium.

It goes off of the inservice date, also its a 10 year/100K powertrain warranty. So includes also transmission.
