Is this made by Prefix? I thought they only did Targa's?

If I remember right the Medusa conversion cost about 30k over sticker and only about a dozen were made.

Can't buy taste.

There's a gen V viper in the east coast that is riced out to the max, super high wing, stickers and ugly paint job. Not sure if he posts here, but again, can't buy taste. Owner takes it mudding too.

I thought that PreFix only built 10 Medusa's in 2014 or 2015. i think they were available only through VE. Did prefix do one or more in '17.

For real!!! $280k that’s a little absurd... if that sells it’s time to buy $75k g5s and convert them!

AZ, I've see this on-line before. It is truly a 1 of 1, not a unique combo of options. I'd love to have it as a fun street car!!!

As for the price, $141k is NOT the MSRP

Look at the window sticker, yeah it's $141,135 from FCA, but add $35k for the convertible conversion, $5k for the center band and $4.5k for the Red drivers stripe;

= $185,635 I'm not saying this is a bargain, just saying it isn't a $141k MSRP build

Someone put a “2” instead of a “1”

That's a weird one. Carbon aero from a TA 1.0, Rattler wheels, and ACR paint job.

I thought all Medusas had the "Medusa" emblem on them. IIRC, you could only buy a complete car; not send Prefix yours for the conversion.

I think it is a beautiful car with great color combo and options except for the wheels -- switch out the wheels to hyperblack sidewinders and you have a unique convertible with stripes.

after the first few built fully as Medusas, they did open up the option to send yours for something like $35K. (but I thought that ended before 2017)

and this also has 0 miles on it according to the listing? and the ACR Steering wheel with GTS interior and steel brakes and TA1.0 aero....??

Does anyone know if any of the original Medusa cars were totaled? this has some Frankenstein aspects for sure.

Now I understand why FCA chose not to do a convertible with the Gen V.

Haha... you have to see one in person without the stripes and with the right combo of wheels etc. Beth's car is amazing in person - white Medusa with red seats.

Ironically if they had done one from the factory they would have had an airbag loophole good for a few more years of production, but that's another story.

Somewhat surprised at all the negative comments about a car that it seems few commenting here have seen. We have a few of these Gen V convertibles down here in Tejas and they are really nice cars. Certainly rare and unique in the world of Gen V's as no two are alike. Yes they originated from Viper Exchange and Prefix but they could also be done through Prefix by order (for a while until parts ran out) and they are all based on original coupes that were converted. I would love to have one, but they were pretty pricey and this one appears especially so.

I think it is a beautiful car. Would be a sexy badass street cruiser IMO. Add in an aftermarket exhaust, pure heaven.
I'm sure this color combo would look amazing in person, but for a convertible, for me, jet black, no stripes. This car would get looks and questions everywhere it goes.

Cool car...How could a Viper have 0 miles doesn't the factory at least put a couple on there from dyno and other testing?

The dealership that is selling this car is one of FCA's best dealerships. They have some pull with FCA so they were able to order pretty much whatever they wanted when it came time to place one.

As a lover of verts I like the conversion but personally struggle with the ACR paint scheme on one along with the mismatched wheels.

Stiff price...but hope they get it. And if the buyer also needs a nice black TA for just under $200 large they should contact me directly :)

Agree that the rims seem out of place, but otherwise, I like it. Laguna, interior CF, wow.
