I bought a Ipsco front tow hook for my 2010 coupe. The issue is that the block assy. of the hook that bolts to the 1/1/4 rod in front of the radiator assy. touches the A/C coolant radiator that is attached to the radiator assy. If you install the block assy. there will be constant contact with the radiator. It's not a force fit really but it does fit tight against the radiator.

I'm very concerned that this contact will over time will ruin the coolant radiator.

I talked with Mark at Ipsco who said that some Gen 4's have this issue. He said that it won't hurt anything, however I wonder about that. The rod in front of the radiator is firmly mounted whereas the entire radiator assy. is rubber mounted which can cause movement between the radiator assy. and the tow hook mounting block bolted to the rod in front of the radiator.

Has anyone here had experience with this issue?? I'd appreciate any info. regarding this situation.--Thanks--Dave

Mine and two others that my friends own all touch the ac condensor. Hasn’t been a problem as it just touches the bracing ever so slightly. 2x 2010 ACRs and 1x 2008 ACR.

13 cobra and SilverACR--

Thanks so much for your reply. Mine also touched the the AC condenser slightly so I appreciate your experience that it is a safe situation.

I got the front tow hook mainly for my 2016 ACR E, but decided to also get a hook for my 2010. I put the hook on the ACR first with no interference issues, so I was surprised when the 2010 had issues.

Thanks again for the responses--Viper guys rule!!! --Dave
