I have been on every viper forum/webpage/search engine imaginable for the past two weeks and I could have sworn I saw a post yesterday of a fella looking into this car with some helpful information from other people as well. However, I cannot find that post for the life of me today and I am curious why.. I was considering this car myself but The dealer is claiming the warranty has only one month left not the 10 year 100k extension that someone said it had in the previous thread. Also, there are some websites when you type in the vin and search that list the car for around 38k... very strange.

Any info is appreciated! I really want to join the viper family soon but I don't want my first viper purchase to be a flop.

Here's the factory sticker outlining the shipped options:
https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C3ADEAZ2DV200037
The FCA recall shows several recall done, the majors are R28, R29, but no details. If I recall if the R28 required engine work, then the warranty is extended, else normal power train warranty.

Carfax indicates the Tomball dodge did some work in 2016, I would reach out to them and see if they can search the VIN to get more history, behind the work performed.

Personally you're not that far in price to a 2014 TA. I would go that route instead of a SRT or GTS package. Although it comes down to your intended use.

There is a post about that car on the VOA facebook group page. Are you on there? Maybe that is where you saw it...

Good call vipes, that’s where it was lol!
And I would much rather have a orange TA.. saw one about 2 weeks ago for sale in Florida but it was sold before I reached out to the guy I think. He was asking like 86k. I just don’t want a white or black car
Just not having any luck finding anyone that has what I want and still wants to be reasonable on price... lots of folks say they are willing to sell but expect msrp for a GTS that we see similar ones just different colors going in the 80s everyday.

That was previously my car I traded it for a mclaren. It’s legit. I was the 3rd owner should have 10 year warranty on it.

Any car that had R28 would have received the 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty regardless of whether engine work was required. My 14 GTS has the extended warranty and has never (knock on wood) had engine work done.

Thanks for chiming in Chrisem153! Good looking car and congrats on the mclaren
Hate to throw another one at you guys but this car checks off literally every one of my boxes (except price)... Seems a bit out of line compared to others that were similar that sold in the past couple months. Also odd they dont list the VIN anywhere so i can dig into more details. Any chance someone might have some info or opinion/thoughts on this one?

A red GTS just popped up on the FB Dodge Viper Parts -Buy/Sell page. $74,000 with 14k miles. I had an adrenaline red before and I loved it. That color is stunning in the sun but nothing beats the Orange TA. If you are patient enough one will always pop up, might take a few months though.

Yea I’m the 80s is where I was thinking it should be as well based on previous sales of similar cars. Maybe 90 tops
I love the car and honestly I’d buy today but not at a 25k premium for a color that originally cost 6k...

Have not seen this car in person yet, but I think you could get a hell of a deal on it. Price seems REALLY good.

Saw that yesterday only downfall is the shitty stripes. I tried to see if the stripes are paint or vinyl.

SirHIss, if you're interested in that Viper, you may be interested in mine. Mine was recently listed on the FB Viper community page at 74k. Plus, I'm only 20 minutes away from where that one is located. Either way, any Gen V Viper you wind up getting will be great! They are a blast to say the least.

VIN sticker for this one does not show any factory stripes, bare bones base 2015 SRT

Finally heard back from the dealership on that striker green one. Its the owners car so typically priced not to sell... Issue is the front carbon fiber splitters have some road rash and theres a chip in the paint on the passenger side roof about an inch away from the windshield. Also, miles are incorrect it has 9700 not 8200...
Sigh. i love the color and it has the right options (wheels, srt hood, track pachage etc.) but damn its hard to overpay for something... What do you guys think? Its technically one of 24 gts stryker greens built that year. with the srt good and wheel and track package very possible a 1 of 3-5 car...

I will sell you my Comp Blue TA2 #001 for that price, maybe even a little less.

They came down to a more realistic world but still a bit high for the mileage and knowing it has a rock chip that wont be cheap to fix and the carbon splitters at the front have rash. They are at 95k.

If you are still interested in this car, I'll go do a non mechanical inspection for you. That's right up the road from me. I also have some connections at that dealership and may be able to get a better deal/at least get some info on their bottom dollar.

Does the front splitter carbon fiber have rash? Or is it just the plastic protective pieces that are replaceable for $50-100? That car is a GTS with the TA 1.0 Group so the MSRP was probably in the $115k-124k range, if you have the VIN it would be easy to get the Window Sticker and see everything. $95k is probably about right for what amounts to a GTS-TA1.0. IMHO

I actually found the window sticker it had a base price of 122,385 and total price after optional equipment of 141,880.
It was hard to tell in the photo but it looked like the actually splitters were rashed up pretty rough.

That $142k is before the $15k MSRP price reduction so the adjusted price is $127k. Asking $95k seems like a decent price to me.

Went with a orange TA instead. The big rock chip in the roofline that was filled with terrible unmatched green paint, rash on the splitters, fact the sales guy told me they didn’t have a viper tech in the area, and that it was a bank repo when they bought it all kind of rubbed me the wrong way...
Found a Orange TA with an amazing previous owner that I knew took great care of it for a fair price and haven’t looked back. Couldn’t be happier.
