I have had a cylinder 1 mis fire code today, And 3 days ago I had one on #10. I have never had any misfires before the Cam install. My question is, idle lope causing the flywheel sensor to read as a misfire due to speed variations? The idle is at 700-750 RPM and can be quite ruff. Roe Racing is closed todayI will call Monday. Anyone know the misfire code should be turned off in the tune. I had to turn it off in my 370z tune but for a different reason.
I do run a .055 spark gap with demon coil and 0 ohm plug wires.
I my try turning up the idle to 800-850 RPM
Just for reference the #1 and 10 do not share the same coil pack, Could be cross talk on the plug wires; wires under the manifold have no wire looms.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Even though the Demon coil info says you can go that wide, don't. Re-gap your plugs to .035, and see if it re-occurs.

Sorry to drag up an old thread....but was this problem solved?

The better question is, is it a problem that needs solved? If the car is running rough, then it is worth investigating. If it runs fine, it could just be a nuisance thing...misfire detection is for emissions purposes, and my understanding is that the threshold for being able to detect a misfire has gotten to the point where there is a higher chance of having a false positive. In my case on my Gen 4 (obviously not applicable here), I was getting a misfire code every time I would hit the rev limiter on a hard shift...sometimes it would even throw it into limp mode. For that reason, I turned the misfire detection off...fortunately, I have the tools to do it. I can assure you, I haven't missed it.

Sorry, I found the #1 plug wire had a burnt spot, I did re gap to .035 on the plugs. Computer still puts out a P0300 code sometimes clears itself after a few days. Runs Perfect!
