Hello, sorry if this has been posted, but I searched and could not find anything.

Cleaning my car today, and noticed the inside of both front wheels have gouge marks almost all the way around and in several areas. Is this from rocks getting kicked up and wedge between the caliper and wheel? Car only has around 1500 miles, removed the wheels and could not find anything obvious.

Thanks for any advise!

Yeah, that's what that's from. Do you do a lot of offroading? LOL

Yeh I Had The Same Thing Happen, Tight Clearence There And A Small Rock Gets Wedge In There And Scores It . I Took The Wheel Off And Went Over The Scrape With a Matte Black Permanent Marker And Called It A Day !!!, Only I Know It's There , Covers Well!!

Thanks for the replies. I figured rocks are causing them. Wonderful Oklahoma roads! lol

Keep an eye on them. As Jon B posted somewhere people have been known to cut their wheel in half from a rock scoring the barrel. Although I've personally never seen it, that would suck.

It happened to Ben Keating during an ACR-X race! Crazy to see

That's not always rocks! It could be the brake sensor wire! It's in a metallic tube, and it sometimes sits a little too far on each side. It happened to my ACR and Dodge replaced the wheels. It sits in between the caliper and wheel.
