Hey Everyone - the NY/CT Event calendar is now posted. Of course VOA members from ALL regions are welcome to join us for any event.
I want to call your attention to 3 things you just can't find anywhere else. Please consider saving the date for 1 or more of these:
August 4. Autocross and skid pad day at Lime Rock Park.
This is the best 'autocross' experience anywhere, period. It's actually a mini road course, formerly the home of Skip Barber Racing car control clinics. It's not cones in a parking lot, it's a road course paved in with elevation changes and a few chicanes etc. Plenty of run-off room, no helmet or special training required. It's great for beginners through advanced drivers... we all have FUN and most of us get faster every year.
July 13/14. NASA Northeast Unmuffled weekend at Lime Rock Park's Road Course.
We've partnered with NASA to welcome as many Vipers as possible. If you've never driven Lime Rock, now is your chance! We paddock together and have the additional help of ACR Steve's experience. If you love to track, or want to try - save this date! We will probably organize a dinner for the Friday night between the 2 days, and there are places to stay but they fill early, so plan ahead.
July 22. Cruise to the Hamptons.
It is what it says, and so much more. The Oakland's Marina has been our home for this indoor/outdoor brunch and hang out for years. We meet up on the Long Island Expressway and cruise together for about an hour - it's an exciting drive, usually with a very large turnout. We have private parking for all the Vipers together when we arrive and the scenery is amazing with water around over 180 degrees. There's a beach across the street you can bring your sandals and take a walk to get a taste of "The Hamptons" We usually have some raffles and giveaways for this one - it's a great party.
