I don't know if any one looked at cars.com lately, but there was a 2014 gts gtsr blue with the light gray stripes and after market black rims. The pics were not very good but the car was. my brother and I were going to the new MGM casino in Maryland to make our monthly donations and since it was only 10 minutes away, we decided to look at it. the sticker on it was $143k, so it was pretty well equipped with options carbon fiber inside and out, rear wing etc. the only option missing pretty much was the leather seats(I guess the laguna package) which didn't bother me at all. I was looking for the gtsr blue with white stripe so I wasn't prepared to make any offers. When I got to the house, Michael showed us to the garage and when he opened the door, our mouths dropped. those gray stripes complemented that blue incredibly well. Michael was the original owner. he bought the car from Arizona and spent about $2000 on the clear bra, covering the important areas, including side view mirrors and where your fingers push down to open the door. He is a car guy and kept this car in immaculate condition. Car had only 10,000 miles on it and still smelled brand new. It was originally listed for $87k then when the price dropped to $79,500 I figured I should at least look at it. So when Michael went inside to get the keys to start it up, my brother leans over and says 'if you don't buy this car you are truly an idiot'. So long story short, we agreed on $76k, with the stock rims, that are brand new since Michael put the after market ones on when he got the car, but he would have to bring it to the dealer to check it over, at my expense of course. Thank you Malibu for making that 'friendly dealer' list. Chris Morrison is an awesome guy and Rich, though I did not have the pleasure of meeting, was very impressive with his knowledge of the car according to Michael. once Chris gave me the green light, I bought the car. I went to pick it up Monday and that was the first time I ever sat in a Viper and let me tell you, it was as if they custom tailored those seats for me. I'm a corvette guy, I had 2 vettes and was looking to get the new z06, until I saw a black viper in the dodge dealership in Fredericksburg. one thing about a Viper, they sure look much better in person than on a computer, and I was sold. I look at this forum almost every day and I learned a lot, and one thing is for sure, this car is not for everybody, but it is for me. its a small rear window to look through, especially with the wing, but I'm confident once I get a few hundred miles under my belt, i'll be fine. I drove most of the way back to Fredericksburg in traffic and I cant tell you how many people had their phones up taking pics. The few chances I had to get on it, my goodness, man let me just say that was the best day of my life. I not only have a car that I am very happy with but I also made a friend.

Congrats, helluva deal you got there. Full toot car. For bargain basement price. Pics please.

By the way, this proves it is a buyer's market for these cars. The OP got an incredible deal - the seller gave it away. So for us "lower tier" owners, LOL if we want to sell now. Flame suit on.....!

thank you all, I will be looking into the local VOA and pics will come on the next sunny day.

Swexlin, these cars are definitely worth more, I got lucky cause I happen to see him drop the price from $87k to $79,500. He had a loan on the car so I think he just wanted out.

welcome to the board

GTS will have leather seats, but there is another higher Laguna package that has the full leather interior. The giveaway is the diamond pattern on the seats. If its a 143k car, it maybe a GTS laguna and for $76k you got a heck of a deal on it.

I remember that amazing "first Viper drive" feeling and know exactly what you mean about seeing everyone with their phones out. The car still gets tons of attention (especially the one I have now) but you get used to it and barely notice the paparazzi after awhile. :D

Still hard to miss the sideshow at times! Should be aware of driver's who can become distracted and dangerous while trying to photograph at the same time.
