I got my wheels from Forgeline, the valve stems they came with are too short. What have you guys done to run Forgeline wheels with stock TPMS sensors?
Really frustrated right now, hopefully they can fix the issue:

Left is the stock stem, right is the stem that came with the wheels, how the hell did they think this would work? The rim itself takes up nearly half the stem!
Stem wheels came with are not even snug with the TPMS, LOL. WTF?

I pulled mine out and just used valve stems. They were track only wheels.

I had a discussion with Ryan, the hole they drilled in the wheel is too small for the stock stems.
My tire shop used a different type of sensor like an older version that was not all one unit and then they just secured the sensor portion it to the wheel. I was told they could have just drilled a bigger hole and the factory sensors would have worked. But I run my Forgelines on the track and they have sensors that work just fine in them.

^ I thought I need OEM TPMS sensors since they operate at a certain mhz. The tire guy said there is a sensor that wraps around the barrel if I wanted to use the stems the wheels came with, I'd have to use the wrap around.

I own a repair shop. Just get a Dill Ready Sensor with rubber valves that works with your frequency. You can probably get away with less than 50 bucks per wheel.
That valve that you show in the pic is a conventional valve not designed for tpms

Wow! Look at that tiny stem! Is that for a bicycle??
On my first set of Forgelines, I forgot to tell Forgeline I had OEM TPMS, so they didn't cut a landing for the sensor retaining nut, and the wheels didn't fit the sensors. I had to use plain old rubber stems and suffer with the light on the dash.
On my second set, I made sure to tell them, so they machined the wheel right. The factory sensors fit fine.
Is your set new or used? Are they made to fit the sensor?
It's a total pain, but Forgeline might be able to re-machine the hole to fit, if you can get them the wheels. Or maybe a local machine shop can. Or maybe you can drill them yourself?

I don't know if I want to send these back and wait another who knows how long. These are brand new straight from forgeline, i got them ceramic coated and now they're at wheels works.
I have to decide what im going to do, I'm a little OCD when it comes to car stuff and that warning light will bother me. I checked for Dill Redi Sensor for a thinner application and it doesnt look like they have a stem thin enough to fit.

I dont understand why you just cant tap the threads larger.. seems like itd be a straightforward process and then use the stock tpms sensors?

I believe they used the one that wraps around the barrel and they work just fine, but the Manager of the shop said if he had the correct size drill bit he would have just opened the hole up enough to use the stock sensors.

Decided to go the same route as 98intrigue and run the stems that came with the wheels.
With everything said and done I take the car to work.....
An hour+ later I get a phone call from a coworker, my tire is flat. I go outside to see a Right rear tire leak, pump it up to 34 psi (ok its not a flat from a nail) to get to wheel works. When I get there its down to 30psi (after 20 minutes).
Get it fixed and the tech makes sure all the other stems are tight and 100%.
I go back to work an hour later I'm home (live 3 miles away) car parked in single car garage and I start detailing her. I dont really pay attention to the right rear since I figured the issue was fixed.
Complete the entire driver side and have dinner with family, come back to finish and I notice the same rear tire is puffy again...
I had a feeling its leaking again, didnt even bother to put air in it because it will leak no matter what.
Woke this morning and the tire is flat again.
My brother thinks theres a leak around the steam. The other wheels/tires seem to be fine. The tires are all new, I dont think that is the issue either. Contacting Forgeline now.
TLDR (too long didnt read):
Mounted the tires to the wheels without the TPMS
Got a flat in the right rear
Take it back to tire place, everything is tight
car is back home and a couple hours later the tire looks deflated.
next morning tire is now flat.
Been really unlucky with these wheels so far.

Your experience sucks, hopefully it will be resolved soon. BTW, pics of the pain in the ass wheels mounted on car are now required!

Sending the wheels to them and getting it back will take 10 business days, looks like Ill be rolling around with the stock setup for awhile.
I plan to lower the front 1" and the back .5".

I know it's not much solace, but great looking car and wheels!

Very nice! I'm sure they will get it right this time. Hopefully they are picking up shipping but at the end of the day, you want the combo to be right. What size are the fronts?

front is 19x11
rear is 20x13
All wrapped in 295 front and 345 rear MPS 4S tires. I loooove the tires, huge improvement over the pzero. quieter too, car rides comfier now. Perfect for street driving IMO.
I copied Ryan's (98intrigue) setup, cept the lip is silver and not black:
30183
I wish the setup was lighter, I should have stuck with a traditional 5 spoke, these connect to the rim through a ring
Im really sad, probably wont get this setup up and running till mid jan because of holiday and shipping back and forth to ohio (forgeline hq).
Thanks for the kind comments gents, cheers to everyone, Merry Christmas & happy holidays!

Car looks great I love the wheels and after a little lowering it will be killer! I also love the car color and the carbon package but I might be based because I have the same combo. Good luck, Cheers!

Damn, that looks fantastic! Sorry to hear of the troubles though.
Is it possible that it's a bad bead on the tire? I had a slow leak because of a bad bead on a previous set of tires.

Did you do Transparent Smoke centers? They look lighter than mine. My outers are actually Black Pearl, not gloss black like my inners are. The lighting is tricky on them, but in direct sunlight you can see the polished lip behind the powedercoat...it actually looks very similar to our Gunmetal Pearl paint.

Yea, they are transparent, I went with transparent smoke centers and just silver lip and inner barrel.
I went great lengths to get the setup on (going to wheel works 4x, missing TPMS connections, missing lugnuts- the lugnuts arrived and im missing 4, unless those 4 meant I had to by a locking lugnut), now I've hit a major bump.
The leak isnt from the bead, tire place cannot find the leak. I had to go to a creek and submerge the wheel in the water because none of the tire places had a big enough tub to fully submerge the 30" wide tire at 20" deep.
There are 5-6 leaks at the base of the screws (two piece wheel). I left a message on their Voicemail, but probably won't hear back until middle of next week.
So far its been a nightmare, and I say nightmare because the price you pay for these wheels, they should be 100% perfect with everything included in the package.

On a side note, I love your caliper color! I hate the red calipers with our Gunmetal and was thinking about doing green and your pic just confirmed it looks awesome!

Wheels look fantastic! Bummer to go through the hassle, but it will be worth it in the end. I’ve never had an issue with my Forgelines. Of course, I’ve been planning to drop them off to have everything disassembled and the lips/barrels coated... hope I don’t have any issues. They will remount the tires there, so any issue should be known before I pick them up.
