And i need allready the first time help from the specialists. Does anybody knows the over all length of the stock muffler like i drawed in in the picture? I have to need it before i remove it. Maybe anybody of you can tell me the length or can messuare it? That would be very helpful!

Welcome from the USA! I have a GenIV but I believe the muffler that you are showing is the same. Conveniently I have my stock exhaust off, the canister itself is 28 inches long with a 3.5 inch flange on each end, overall length is 35 inches. I believe that is about 90cm, sorry if my conversion is off.

@Fatboy 18: I am actually from Switzerland and i know that we have a comunity here. The most of the members here are only drivers and they have no plan from the technical side;););)
@Stealth78: Thank you. O really conveniently ;). Perfect, sounds good for me. Maybe you know also the Diameter from the Muffler itself? Is it 5 Inches?
What do you all mean, is it possible to place mufflers with 6 Inches Diameter instead of the original? I mean, is there enough space between the muffler and the heatshield?

The factory muffler is indeed 5" in diameter. I installed a Corsa exhaust and those mufflers are slightly larger than stock, I'm just not sure the exact diameter but it is likely that it was around 6". If you can find the diameter of the Corsa exhaust that would be a good benchmark, I would not attempt to install anything larger than that as it is fairly snug. I actually had to take off my driver's side side sill after install as something was rattling, come to find out one of the factory screws in the door sill (the one that is up by the inside of the door jam) was actually touching the Corsa muffler. I simply replaced it with a shorter screw but it was a timely project to discover.
