We regularly get inquiries from Gen V Viper owners asking about the drivability of our billet triple carbon clutch. We've also noticed some recent posts on the forum and Facebook about it. Is it smooth? Does it chatter? Is it hard to drive?

Since we shipped some more clutch orders this week and are about to start another production run, we thought it was a good time to put a video together that would show a good drivability example. Very slow speed trailer loading, uphill driveways, and inclines can sometimes be a challenging task (chatter, smoothness, etc) with multi-plate clutches that will hold enough torque for a high horsepower Viper.

The red Viper in the video is Jeff's Nth Moto 900 BHP naturally aspirated (no nitrous or other power adders of any kind) Viper that recently ran over 171 MPH in a standing 1/2 mile. Definitely a rowdy and manly engine we did for Jeff, but as you can see, it has awesome clutch manners creeping towards and driving onto an inclined ramp.

This is the same triple clutch we do in all of our turbo Gen V builds. It's being used in cars like Vijay's white Gen V Viper that just ran over 200 MPH in the 1/2 mile on a 100% stock engine, Nth Moto turbo system, and 6-speed 6060 transmission. It definitely holds the power, and at the same time is smooth. The release during high RPM gear shifts is also phenomenal. It's an awesome clutch upgrade all around, even for a completely stock Viper that needs a replacement.

Do you offer the same setup for the Gen 4 Vipers? I'm very interested in this setup since my OEM clutch started slipping at the drag strip a couple months ago.

I love my Nth clutch, no chatter/rattle and smooth mid swing progressive engagement. I had the McCleod before the Nth and it had a super high on/off release and chattered in 1st, I hated it.

I'm incredibly picky about how a clutch feels. To the point where I sold my ZR1 because we couldn't find a clutch combo I was happy with.

I've put thousands of miles on my Nth moto triple and hundreds of WOT blasts. It drives just as nice as stock, no additional noise, no compromises! It honestly makes the entire package just that much better.

All of that and it still has needed zero maintenance, no shims or anything. Which in a big hp clutch is very rare. I recommend it to everyone, my wife's GTS will end up with this clutch.

Just ordered mine from Aaron last week, look forward to installing it!

This clutch is absolutely amazing. It is better than the stock OEM clutch in every single way, and if you look at the design of the nth clutch, you will see why the synchronizers in your trans will also love you for this upgrade.

Love my Nth Clutch! Only clutch we put in our Heads and Cam builds. Just works, and feels OE.

13 lbs weight savings, nice. How much does it cost?

The clutch assembly sells for $3975 with all needed installation hardware to utilize the factory hydraulic system including a billet spacer, and ARP flywheel bolts.

The 13lb drop feels like the right balance of compromise between incredibly improved throttle response and engine accel/decel rate, but still having enough inertia for difficult inclines, soft starts, etc.

Thanks for posting this video. I have a lot of learning to do on launching the car. This car will be well into the 9's with a good launch and should get a little more speed. The car had a best of 142.99 for the day.
The car is a full weight GTS and it even has the larger brakes from V/E and 3/4 tank of fuel. I also believe the tractive suspension would be a huge help.
In all this, the clutch never showed any signs of weakness and felt absolutely amazing..
This nth moto clutch is just amazing

The moment of inertia of your rotating assembly hits the sweet spot, the car launches fine.
