a few months ago our passenger side one decide it had enough and flew off... now or drivers side one has done the same... how has dodge not fixed this problem? at $60-$70 bucks a pop it's rather annoying and dodge won't cover it under warranty

would be nice if dodge can make it, so parts don't fly off the car when you drive it... lol

Install with 3m tape. The clips are junk.

not a bad idea... was thinking of using hot glue, but 3m tape would be easier and less messy. thanks for the tip!

This was also an issue with the hellcats. It seems batches were made with defective clips.

3M tape alone will keep them in place. I have Xtreme’s carbon fiber bezels on mine and they are only held on with tape, no tabs. There’s no way these things are coming off.

The factory delivery last September of my 2016 ACR-E was delayed by a defect in the hood which permitted the bezels to come loose. The remedy involved repairing the carbon fiber around the vent openings. This modification was completed before they would let me take delivery. I have had no problems since.

And you only have two....you would think this would happen quite a bit with the SRT hood.

Just making sure everyone is aware that the first iteration vents should have been replaced. The change affected 2013 model year, not sure about the 2014.

When mine were replaced on my srt hood, the news ones had a much more profound clip on it, massive difference. Il try to post some pics later.

My car is a 2014 and if they didn't come out at 197mph with a 20-30mph head wind then i think they are not going to come out.

I had the same problem, and Dodge covered it under warranty.

We've had a few blow out. One of my dad's ACR vents blew out at the 1/2 mile this weekend.

You're supposed to on the ACR. Allows for the engine to run a little cooler, in addition to the aero.

The same with mine, I personally replaced mine and they were covered by warranty. The new grills were a tight fit, compared to the original grills which were actually laying in the hole loose.

you guys have better dealers than I! mine has been nothing but a pain for any little thing and has told me to pound sand on this issue

i can also confirm my replacement one for the passenger side was significantly tighter ... hope the drivers side replacement is equally as tight, but regardless i’ll be using some 3m tape on both

Have any specific recommendation? I assume that you are probably talking about 3M molding tape, or possibly VHB tape that Gopro uses, or possibly their Acrylic Plus tape ?

I looked up my Amazon order and here’s what I used.

3M VHB Tape 5952, 0.125 in width x 5 yd length

I ordered two of these for all 6 vents and only used one roll.
