What do you think of this? Steve at Vipair just starting production of a Gen V bumper for Gen 3/4. Not on the website yet. Again, one piece mold, no additional parts needed. Looks accurate from the front but need to see side profile to make sure it's balanced. Only price he gave me was $2500. I am well aware of viper tax, but unless it's solid gold, seems a little steep. All the Gen 5 parts for the actual bumper can be had for 700$. Too bad it's not a straight swap. The second pic is the real deal for comparison.

If the fit and finish is good ,then it should sell well . :)

Looks good! Yeah that price is high, send him an order for 1000 units annually and he might be able to get you to $700??

I believe that picture of it installed on the car is a photoshop. Maybe if there was a real picture people would get a better understanding of how it looks.

I understand people have different taste, supply, demand, and it being a free country but I really wish people just wouldn't do this. If you want a Gen V, save up for a gen V. :(

Something about the bottom 1/2 of the bumper doesn't look right. It gets disproportionately wide near the bottom in the Gen II/IV pic and the real Gen V bumper doesn't do that

I personally wouldn't do it but it does settle one argument; the headlights are the real issue on the weird front end look of the new Gen V. I am not crazy about the front on the new GEN V but could not figure out why. The new headlights just don't seem to belong.

I'd like to see a C7 Vette front end onto a Gen 4. That would really make a statement ! :fpopcorn:

I know that folks swapped hoods between certain generations; but it seems sacrilegeous to me to swap the nose !

Just ask yourself, WWRGS ?

If i could just make my G IV hood a clamshell version i would be in heaven.

Second. The headlights on the 3 & 4 look mean!

It's always exciting when vipair comes out with a new product and we anxiously await the first "steve where's my stuff" post.

Good post.....I agree 100 %. Maybe wheel swaps between generations but this makes it feel like a kit car approach. Looks terrible and out of place. Take away a great looking nose and replace it with one that was not part of the design to begin with....what's the point ?

I personally like the look , and since the Gen 4 and Gen 5 computer is locked and mods are limited , then the choice is easy . imho

I personally think the front bumper/fascia is the one area of the Gen 5 that they really dropped to ball on. UGLY! I don't care for the gaping catfish mouth much like the LS1 Camaro. I wish he would have designed a better looking front bumper rather than use the OE styling.

It looks interesting, and I give Steve major props for coming up with cool products for these cars. I'd just be too scared to ever send him any money until I already had the parts in my hand.

I know this is bringing a thread back from the dead but did anything ever come of this? I can’t find any info on vipair so not sure if they are even still in business?
