I have seen pics of the black Hurst.

and white Hurst

But for some reason the anodized gold Hurst escapes me! And man is it a looker!

The black and white don't do much for me, but that anodized gold... love it! Would give up SSG for that in a heart beat.

I honestly thought you were being sarcastic at first. I'm glad we all don't have the same taste though or the world would be boring.

Not sarcastic. Can't stop looking at it. LOL Sure I would prefer a different stripe parttern and I don't like the wheels, but the car draws me in.

I agree with ACRu.....awesome color. The way it highlights every line of the car

Throw some Graphite, full length, wide stripes, on there and its a winner.

The Black, The White, The wheels....not so good

You are not alone, I've always liked that car. Wasn't there just 2 made? I also like the black one, but the white one doesn't really do it for me.

The black and gold gives me a little tingle, but the anodized gold one is a beauty. Just have to cut the top off it and make it proper.

Well here you go, both 1 of 1. When it was auctioned off in 2009 it was the highest price Viper or Hurst vehicle ever sold. $250,000 for the coupe.

The gold is ok but damn. SSG is still the ultimate color. Ive never seen a color pop like that before.

I like the gold, but the stripes remind me of the old factory Camaro racing stripes. I think they had a border too.
I wonder how the gold would look with factory style pearl silver stripes?
PhotoShoppers?
Viper Girl, would you mind?

The wheels! The wheels! Atrocious. At least those pull the eye for the horrid stripes. :stickmen_burningsti

There were only the two made , and though the first Woodhouse/Hurst Viper was auctioned at Barrett-Jackson, we sold the second convertible to the owner as we thought it would be
fantastic for one owner to have both vehicles. The rims were done by HRE and finished in a black chrome similar to what is being done on the Challenger SRT8s, Jeep SRT8s, Charger SRT8s, and the
300 SRT8. The suspension , exhaust and some other mods were all done by Woodhouse SRT/Viper and sent to Hurst for finishing. Only 4 were ever done, as financial considerations at Hurst meant
their production was ceasing. There is a 5th one built , though it was just a late collaboration with Hurst and Doc Watson -- though it did not have all of the suspension and other mods agreed
upon with Woodhouse Viper and Hurst Performance. Both the Black one and the white one have factory Aero Group Packages also!

Keep in mind the time frame and a matte finish and black chrome wheels done back then were ahead of the trend with them just showing up on cars in recent memory.

Respectfully Submitted,

That color is nothing like the one ACRu dug up. I know it comes down to personal preference but that gold (in the factory image) is really bad, especially with those stripes. That's just not a good looking Viper.

The Flat Orange/gold in the first pic of the thread looks really nice. I think there is a fair amount of Photoshop work on that image though, so who knows what it really looks like in real life

I have a Toxic Orange and in some pictures it just looks Brown...not good at all. Its a color you have experience in person and preferably on a sunny day or with some good street lights hitting it.

Sorry to say they are not doing it for me, The Black one is the best of the bunch for me!

But this is what I love about our cars, its amazing how different colour changes, stripes, No stripes changes the cars making them all unique :)

Wheels are horrendous. The chrome versions don't look quite as bad as the ones that have painted accents, but c'mon HRE, they are a top line wheel manufacturer and that is the best they could come up with. Those wheels are almost as ugly as these...IMO the ugliest factory wheel to be placed on a performance vehicle.

Wheels were designed by Hurst , based on their historical look of the past. HRE just built the wheels and they did their usual quality work. Wheels are always something that is subjective and
many folks will like one wheel , whereas another they will find objectional. The rim on the Woodhouse/Hurst Vipers was based more on that traditional look, and the black chrome ones elicited
alot of positive comments at Barrett-Jackson when we worked the booth. Barrett told us ( Woodhouse and Hurst ) , that is was one of the most questioned/commented cars of the show that year.

I will agree with you on the Razor rims though, never one of my favorites either.

Those wheels are terrible IMO. Right off a Challenger or similar. Nice unique paint though.

Color is great but I really don't like the rims at all.
