What group are you doing the track day with? I did one there with PDE at the beginning of the year and was a lot of fun. I'll be racing in the Chumpcar race that weekend at AMP. Have fun out there.

http://performancedrivingexperience.com/ is usually who I run with. Yeah, only once and never got super comfortable with the blind hill down to start/finish. Here is my best run.

I have been there once and this is the first time in the Viper(anywhere).
Yes, I have watched your video many times to get a feel for gear selection and what RPMs your running as well as corner speed. Very smooth technic. Do you mind me asking how much experience you have?
Any suggestions?
BTW,
Your time is respectable and yes the hill is unnerving.

No tips really, just start slow in the Viper and get warmed up to the track. I've got close to two years of tracking the Viper now, not a ton of experience, but feel a lot more confident with the car. I still don't push it anywhere near its limits, especially on new tracks.

LOL, yeah. I rarely do that, normally just listen to the engine. But we all got black flagged and had to come in because a Lambo went off track in the rocks and had to be towed out. So we were sitting in Pit lane for a while and I was listening to Octane. One of my favorite songs came on so I just let it play when we went back out.

What a weekend. Second track day ever and first in the Viper. The weather conditions were not great but it was still a ton of fun and I learned so much. Saturday it light rained on and off all day with water standing a little here and there(as well as dry patches in one or two sessions). Sunday was freakin cold (35-40s) and winds sustained about 25MPH. Even with the rain and cold/wind I was able to get a good feel of the car. I achieved all of my goals with the exception of my top speed on the back straight. One of the coolest take aways of the weekend was to change my focal points while out there. I started the weekend off by looking at the turn-in points but by the time I had turned in I was not comfortable with either my speed whether it be too fast or too slow as I approached the apex which then affected my track out. By the end of the weekend I was looking through the corner further and it helped me carry more speed into the corner and also setup the next area better. I swear it helps with car control. Maybe being proactive versus reactive in setting up the turn-in, apex, and my track out locations.
Onto the car, the power was smooth and trackable and the oil temp only got just over 200.The only thing that seemed a little off was the back end seemed a little light feeling when I lifted. It broke loose one time during the wet but settled in at turn-in of the corner. The steering input was very crisp and so predictable. I ran 30F and 29R for cold PSI on Saturday but because it was much cooler on Sunday the cold PSI dropped to 29F and 28R.
BTW,
That track was intimidating especially with the conditions and being a noob but the car I feel helped me instead of hindering me. There also was an ACR extreme there but didn’t talk with him so not sure if he is on here but he was in the red group and had a good pace. I’ll post some video and pics once I get them on my computer but no picking at my pace :)

I'm jealous. RA is a bucket-list track for me.

Its a haul from Ohio but you should try to make it. I promise it'll be worth it.

I went out for the warm up session then parked the car for the day.
Ran pretty consistent :32's on Sunday on a dead set of Kumhos but was a good day. Next time feel free to stop by the trailer to talk.
