Does anyone know the part number for the differential stub axle outer circlip/snap ring that holds the axles in place? I've poked around on some of the parts sites, and they say that the inner and outer snap rings are the same, but they most definitely are not.

Edit: I think I have this figured out now...
Outer Snap Rings (circlips): Mopar Part Number 05069009AA
Inner Snap Rings (circlips): Mopar Part Number 68184320AA
Looks like they are different part numbers, but I don't have both side by side to compare. Maybe I'll order some and see what they look like.

Are there different part numbers for 08 versus 09 & 10?

The inner snap ring (i.e. the one that is inside the differential, and retains the stub axle in the differential housing) appears to have the same part number (68184320AA) for 2008-2017.
The outer snap ring (i.e. the one that retains the axle/CV on the stub) is the same part number for 2008-2010. This part doesn't exist on the 2013+ Vipers because they changed the design of the stubs and axles/CVs in 2013, and that part is no longer necessary.
In case you couldn't tell, things aren't going exactly as planned with my little differential swap-a-roo, but I'm learning some interesting things as I'm trudging along through the process. It's a long story, but one I intend to tell in another thread once I get everything squared away. One side benefit is that I should be able to get the actual inner snap ring/circlip out of my original 2008 housing so I can show a picture of what exactly it looks like vs. what came in the 2013+ (and presumably the late '08-'10 cars), and hopefully explain why 2008 gear swaps can be so bothersome. I've got one stub axle out unscathed...I'm hoping the other comes out the same.

Thanks Steve, I'll be following your thread as usual. Unfortunately I haven't had any time to do my gear swap and my gears are still sitting in the box they came in. Even more frustrating is it's almost that time of year again when my Viper hibernates for 5 - 6 months. Anyhow I look forward to seeing pics. My car is a late build 08 so I am hoping I have the newer style snap ring. I wish there was some way to identify which I have prior to starting the disassembly.
