Will be there from Sunday due to setup, otherwise actually would have been fun to be with the caravan. Been talking with a few clubs who may be shipping cars to the west side and driving them the remaining distance. AZ is a good place - as the drive to vegas is an easy leg and a pretty drive. You may have many other people who could be joining the AZ group coming in.

Renewed membership and registered for my son and I. First ever NVE (or any kind of Viper get away), and can't wait! Assuming we will caravan down on Wed. and then leave on Sunday morning, I booked 4 nights (5/2-5/5).

I did register at the Mandalay bay though to save a little coin. If anyone can vouch for the Delano over the main hotel, I am open to reconsidering. I know the rooms are all suites at the Delano, but is there something else there that would make it worth the extra expense?

You'll be ok in mandalay. It's across the casino, not far. You'll still park with the group and everything. The rooms aren't shabby. The Delano rooms though are amazing for $224. The registration, store, and vendors will also be in Delano on the very floors that the guest rooms are on. So you'll have to come over and take the elevator there. It's not terrible though, you'll be fine.

We initially had mandalay because the price diff was over $100, but once we got done and leveraged our other layers, not too much of a difference - but we left mandalay so people could indeed save a few. We know it's an expensive trip!

Looks like I was too slow on the draw. Renewed my Mamba membership, but on the NVE waiting list now. Booked next door at the Luxor as a placeholder. Hopefully a spot will free up between now and May 2, 2018. :fpopcorn:

I would suspect there will be some cancelations by the time NV rolls around. The question is where are you on the wait list? Wish you luck as it will be much more convenient to be at the host hotel.

I am 34th on the list. So, fingers and toes crossed that some folks who live far away won't want to make the trek and will cancel out, like Alex said...

We will plan the Grand Canyon Trip another time, we might have something in the works next fall. Some other clubs may meet up with us here in Phoenix and drive up to Vegas with our group on Wednesday morning. We have 26 members registered to go to NVE3.

Typically the majority of cancellations will hit around March (as the cutoff for refunds is April 1). What I've noticed is that even if you're low on the list, you sometimes have a good shot if you live closer to the event location. As people cancel, those on the list who live further can't coordinate quick enough to arrange everything - vs people who can just hop in their car and drive over.

I'm bummed out some people can't go due to sellout but seriously impressed (though it's not a surprise) at the enthousiasm of this group of people. The car brought me to the club but now I can't imagine my life without it

Am staying optimistic.

Have made hotel reservations at the Luxor from May 2 -6 as a backup plan.

Either way, you have now been granted Carte Blanche in Phoenix.

Great to hear from you. You know that you are always welcome to run with us or join us for any event when you are in town. That would be great if you can join us to or from NVE3 or both ways. We have a good group. Some of the old guys are still around and we have several new members too. After all the years you've joined the AZ club for the Barrett-Jackson event you are like a long lost cousin that visits once a year from up north. It will be great to have you along.

Yes, some folks are leaving on Tuesday AM, and some on Wednesday. An email went out from Debbie awhile back, but I haven't heard back as to how many people are going on each of those two days.

For those looking to travel on Tuesday May 1, the plan is as follows:

Meet at 12:30 p.m. at the 2nd Shell Gas Station across from the Jones Ford Dealership, ( 530 E Wickenburg Way, Wickenburg, AZ 85390 ). Gas up. We will leave promptly at 1:00 p.m. Drive to Kingman. Gas up at the truck stop on I-40, Exit 53, prior to Kingman. Stay overnight at the Holiday Inn Express, 3031 E Andy Devine Ave, Kingman 86401. Call for reservations at 928-718-4350. Leave Wed May 2 promptly at 9:30 a.m. and drive to Vegas arriving around 12:00 Noon. Gas up in Boulder City at the Arco Station in preparation for the Thursday early morning scenic cruise. (Much easier than trying to gas up after parked at the hotel)

For those looking to travel Wednesday May 2, the plan is as follows:

Meeting at 6:30/6:45 and leaving at 7:00 am from the 1st Shell station at the intersection of US 60 and 211st Ave (31120 N US-60, Wittmann, AZ 85361) . Stopping in Kingman at the Love’s off the I-40, 15 miles from Kingman. Then onto Vegas. Please arrive early enough to gas up before leaving at 7:00.

PLEASE NOTE: THE MEETING PLACES ARE DIFFERENT SHELL STATIONS!!!!
