Charlotte Cars and Coffee - Cancelled?

After reading another post, I got to digging around and I think I found some bad news - it looks as if the Charlotte Cars and Coffee is now being cancelled indefinitely because of some things that have been happening:

I've actually not been able to make it to any of the past Charlotte C&C events; is there anyone who attends regularly or is more "in the know" that can confirm this?

There is a video floating around of the guy leaving the Charlotte event in a Mustang, gunning it and running into a fire hydrant. He is very lucky-- it could have been people who were nearby.

Unfortunately , this kind of thing has closed many a car meet.

yes that Video is of what happened last saturday and what got the C&C cancelled, at least until further notice, the organizer of C&C charlotte said he cancelled it and it was a waste of more than 6 years of hard work to get it to the point where it was, so for now there will be no more C&C in charlotte, you can drive to the one in greenville if you like, it's pretty good.

Angel, I figure that's the next closest one to me - Cary would be a little further away. Hopefully I'll get down there here in the next month or two. A two hour drive would be a good opportunity to stretch the legs on the Viper anyway.. :D

I did get her out for about 45 minutes over the weekend - that felt good. :)

Man that sucks it got cancelled because Charlotte is a huge car town. They will probably start something else, I would.
