View Full Version : 2017 acr e
Hi Everyone,
Just took delivery on an all black 2017 ACR-E, haven't been putting alot of driving time to it, but this car excites me minute when I do take it out. I also have an 991 GT3RS... I don't think about that car too much... the Porsche almost too perfect...and IMO its not at the same level of driver's excitement and road presence.
I had an 2013 GTS prior to this, which I regret selling too soon. Finally back to an viper... amazing piece of kit!
One thing I am not used to is the visibility, and also the interior heat. It seems to come from everywhere, engine, tranny, exhaust... lol.
Looking to lower it with track height, any must have mods for this car?
Cheers!2859328594

Wow, love the solid no stripe look. If Batman was a track rat, this is what he'd be driving.
Congrats and enjoy!!

I'd have kept the 2012 GTS. Very rare.

Very nice. A friend of mine has a GT3RS and a 16 ACR as well. I've driven behind his GT3RS in my Viper, and dang, that car is friggin' fast. Wow.
Congrats on the Viper, it's beautiful.

If you drive it on the street much (or track or both) and want to keep your paint and/or windshield intact I would strongly recommend the hood wheel vent shield that Doug Shelby Engineering sells. Stops the pebbles and stones kicking up through the extreme hood wheel vents completely and with black paint.....yikes. Highly recommended mod.

Batmobile! Love it! Careful with Track Height...I'm at that and you need to get used to, um, rubbing sounds...
In all serious there is the risk of doing some pretty serious damage as well as I've been told by others...

I'd wrap the entire car, tint the windows, depending on how tall you are install a seat drop, and give Doug a call, he has a bunch of cool stuff.

I will even bet it's a 1 of none edition.

Thanks for the tips! I had the entire car wrapped and ceramic coated, I am about 5'11, I am ok with the heights, not sure with helmet on.
Beautiful car!!!
I'll just leave this in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXLzTuRg0Tw

My bad, as others reminded me, our next date is Oct 10 if anyone is interested.
Bruce H won't make it but I don't see why we shouldn't have 4-5 ACR's on track.
PM me ur email and I will introduce you to the group and send link for the day.
