Better downforce = Better track times.

Why bother with the TA then outside of color...?

I do like this pic from above.

The spoiler is a prototype part. It isn't apart of the package.

GT package: features primarily available only on the GTS, now available on the SRT model as well.

In respect to that question and response,

Why would they bring our a TA if they intend (hopefully), to bring out an ACR. Would this TA production mean no ACR? What motive does SRT have in bringing out a TA? Marketing? Strategy? I don't get it?
Any ideas regarding those insinuations?

umm, appeasement, sales, marketing image, LS record? A track-focused Viper without a huge wing? Whatever their reasoning, it seems to be working for them.

The TA was brought out for 1 reason only IMO. To beat the ZR1 time at LS after it mopped the floor with the original GTS in the Dec 2012 Motor Trend comparo.

Did anyone price out an SRT with the GT compared to a GTS? Still a big difference in $$$ for some leather, drilled rotors, painted calipers, and a few other minor details. I calculated $15K diff when I ran the numbers. I'm struggling to find the value in the GTS with the new GT package?

Personally, I think the GT package is going to replace the GTS.

You'll only have the SRT and add on what you want.

Gonna be one Sexy Stryker; though I don't think there's a big difference speed wise between any of the variants. How much faster is a TA from a GTS? Not much. Love the paint job, for nearly $6k it better look great.

The TA is only available for the 2014MY.

To answer question of OP-price that's why. You can get a brand new TA with 120k MSRP for 114--115k; the GT I'm guessing will have a higher price point than that.

This... Ralph said as much as this in an interview if I remember correctly... ACR wasn't ready, so they released the TA... Time Attack...

Not what dealers have said. They will just make them available in different colors each year.

Two items to clarify, it was glossed over by the magazines when Ralph mentioned that the TA was already in the works prior to the ZR-1s time. This is 100% correct and the only thing that
happened was the time table moved up a bit. The wing , as stated, is a prototype and at present has not even met final approval, but it is a MoPar piece being reviewed.

I would have to agree the GT Package will take away some sales from the GTS, but remember, if you want Stoptech rotors for instance,or the double nostril hood, more sound deadening,
you will still need to move in that direction - and of course GT available only in Black and Stryker Green.
