I had to get some stainless steel coated in black oxide so I sent a pair of my splitter adjustable struts in to see what they would look like. Also did the bolts on my splitter brackets. Turned out pretty well. You have to keep in mind black oxide is more of a stain than a paint so the finish isn't super uniform, but I think it keeps the black theme of the ACR going better than the stainless steel.
If there is any interest I will get some more done. I would charge $185 for a pair of struts. Ignore the stainless nut on the splitter in the photos - that would also be black for production.
Thanks
Doug

These are now in stock and available to order on my website. The finish has a satin sheen to it.
Thanks

Doug, You make some great stuff that's for sure. I like the black strut rods, I may just have to order a set.

I think Doug and a few other top vendors should do what the DeLorean crowd did back in the day - arrange to get the rights to keep the parts supply flowing for the Gen V cars. A friend of mine has a DeLorean, and he can literally build a car from the ground-up with the parts that are still be produced after-market (with the original tooling). Sorry to hijack the thread - the struts look awesome, and every time I see something like this I can't get it out of my mind that we need to find a way to keep the parts for these cars flowing.
