If you want the stone protection to run way up in the wheel arch (ugly and obvious IMHO) plus more water and rocks can get trapped behind it ruining paint anyway then that's a difference. I would suggest a strip of clear bra on that inside lip instead up any further if you need it, there are no hard really hard impacts above where Jack's design ends.

That was the main design criteria, protect from impact and use a small piece of clear bra above boomerang. This way they visually disappear. Clear bra will not work in the lower area, It gets shredded.

That's what I did Mark, I have a custom vinyl wrap on the ACR but on the wheel arch I have a strip of vinyl protecting that area which that I can replace as needed. The area above the boomerangs doesn't need it but its easy peasy to do. I installed Jack's rear boomerangs last week and they made a difference after a long auto-x day this past weekend. Simple and does help.

Are these as necessary on the non-ACR models? I assume the non-ACR and non-TA GTCs have less sticky tires? Thanks

it does not matter, all G5's will eventually have all the paint sand blasted off of the lower part of the painted inner lip.of the fender.

Ordered a four pack from DSE and put the rears on last night. Like them very much. Very discreet but look like they will do the job well. They seriously look like factory especially on an ACR with al the other black bits all over the place. Fronts go on Saturday have to pull the front rims off.

You won't be putting the fronts on easily without a right angle drill. No room to get the correct angle with a conventional drill around the rotor. I was thinking of just drilling an 1/8" starter hole and using a black body type screw like the ones you remove to mount the upper section. Anyone see a reason that wouldn't work? I like the idea of a much smaller hole as well.

I was without my tools when I need to install them. Used a drill to make a small hole then manually made it to size with just a drill bit. The material cuts very easy.

Turn your wheels to full lock. Drill a small hole. Done deal.

You're right. Way overthinking this.

Anyone know where to get a retaining bolt for the stone guards? I just noticed I am missing one of them!
