Has anyone seen this? Dodge replaced this dude's wing because of some debris inside rattling- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9Cx-3J0FzQ
These are over $10K, the bare carbon ones are over $15K (just the center section). I've had one on backorder for about 6 months, i wonder if this was happening to a lot of the wings and that's why i haven't been able to get one.
I wonder what they did with this one

Gerry Wood is the dodge dealer in Salisbury, I don't think they sell Chevy. Maybe the tech grabbed that Suburban off the used car lot or maybe its his truck?
I love the owner saying "we" over and over, he's now an an expert on rivet and wing removal.
Noise sure sounds like a rivet or nut inside the wing, that was a costly mistake.

So, the car should have cost more with all that extra carbon fiber inside!
I wonder if they are going to let him keep the old wing.... I would drill out one of the ends between the mounting screw... I'll give it a try!
:furious:

I bet those guys just loved having that flat brimmed hat d-bag with a camera in their faces the entire time they're trying to work.

When I took a copy of the wing, the most difficult part was that metal bracket which was attached tot the wing itself.
But seriously, what's the story behind the chevy lol

Wish I could have gotten my hands on that wing. I could have pulled a mold off of it. I haven't worked up the courage to pull a mold off my exposed carbon wing - maybe I never will. I think if I was trying to save the wing in the video, I would have tried to work the loose internal part to a position where I knew its location and then injected a little resin through the end plate holes to try and pin it in place. Either that or take the mufflers off the car so I couldn't hear the rattle....

Would a small shot of low expansion expanding foam taken care of the loose part and rattle by locking it in place?.......I don't know, just seems like a lot potential of screwing up or damaging the deck lid if something gets dropped or something slips.
