Yikes!!!! Looks like they have some work (fine tuning) to do. Almost there.....

Pretty good I'd say for one first clean lap on a green track. Tracks aren't optimal after torrential downpours wash the rubber off.

Yeah, I have to agree with this. Remember that they are basically running in 15 minute windows whenever it presents itself, which means you need to be suited up and ready to go as soon as the timing window opens up, and then you get 1 lap to sight and 1 lap for time.

So they basically had 1 lap thus far and essentially matched the best time that the ACR-X could do.

I think there's quite a bit more in it, but the only way to really put down the best time is to get an open track for at least an hour or so (and hope for good weather during that time).

Very impressive lap time. Need to find 10 more seconds

Spot-On Analysis. Not bad for a first pass in mediocre conditions.

Some open track will bring that number down for sure. No matter what happens I'm still proud to own a Viper. Proud of our community having the audacity to make the attempt. :United_States:

Besides the repave, I don't see much else that would make the Extreme much faster than the old X.
ACR-E pros:
31% more downforce
Potentially better brakes
Probably a tiny bit more horsepower/tq, 5-10hp my guess
Slightly better suspension geometry

X pros:
100-150 lbs lighter at 3190 lbs
Should be much stiffer with the cage
Michelin race slicks
Smaller intangible things like underdrive pulley etc

I guess the big variable here is the Michelin slicks vs the Kumhos.
It's well known the Michelin slicks are 3-4 seconds faster on short tracks than Hoosier R7's, even more on longer tracks. No way the Kumho's can match that.

What else am I missing?
Does anyone know what the repave is worth on high power cars like ours?
