Supercar Run #5 has been "rescheduled" for Saturday April 5, 2014. Once again those who have participated in prior Supercar runs have been invited to join in this cruise. This is a NON Viper Club event and as such we are not involved in any aspect of planning the event. If you are interested in making the cruise and have not made a prior run there is no registration, just show up. The destination, route and lunch stop will be announced at the time of the event. Super Car Run #4 in April 2013 had over 80 high performance super cars make the cruise.
Everyone will meet at:
Supercar Specialists
7706 E. Acoma #2
Scottsdale, AZ 85260
The Cars will depart from Supercar Specialists at 9:30 am .

C'mon guys, you may be old, but you're not ancient....

"Old" and "ancient" are interchangeable and relative! Depends on the perspective. A few of us are the fastest old farts you will ever know! :)

I know, right? These guys are always bitchin about being old. Hey Barry, tell us again about when everything used to cost a nickel.

For you guys that are just out of diapers. How about when candy used to cost a penny a piece! A postage stamp was 3 cents. Premium gas was 16.9 cents a gal.

So the event is a week from today. I know I'm going and I'm bringing my cousin along before fatherhood strikes him again. And Goot was pretty sure he was coming when we spoke at Bass Days. Who else is coming along for the Run????

Thanks for the reminder LF. I can't make it as we will be on a cruise ship in the Bahamas for 10 days. Not enough sun in AZ! :) You will enjoy the run. Just don't get crazy like some of the other drivers will inevitably do . Some will act like they just got out of quarantine. They usually have a second run in the fall so hope to make that one.

Sure. For a young single guy who drives a FORD PROBE I would have to give you the valet key and take 6 plug wires with me so you wouldn't hurt yourself. :)

Great! There should be several VOA members there too. Look for LeadfootRT10. He's the young guy who drives the Sapphire Blue RT10 that goes Putt, Putt.

I plan on being there between 8 and 8:30.....probably closer to 8:30. Should give some time to wander around and check out the other cars that will be there. I also understand they provide a light breakfast, bagels or something of that nature, although the event may have gotten too big for that now.

I will be there. Did they send us a specific time? Also, Leadfoot, the parking lot there fills up fast. There was coffee, donuts, bagels maybe. That's about it. Usually some nice lambos being worked on in the shop. White snake can't make it as he is already scheduled that day to complain about young people today and how things were different back in his day. That leaves him pretty tuckered out my noon. Then it's time for some muchy peas and a nap.

Did they give a specific time to meet? I recommend you get there earlier than later.parking lot will be full and trying to get the directions to everyone who is milling around can be a but of a PITA, so it's good to be there early

I don't remember any time posted on their fb page. I think last year most people got there around 8:30.

Too bad Whitesnake isn't gonna make it. Would be great to have that custom Gen V on the run with us. Enjoy your trip, Barry. I will keep you updated on all the slow cars that show up. Have a great trip and see ya soon.

Photo Dump!
Was a beautiful day with a lot of beautiful cars and other than a stone chip in my windshield we all made it intact without any speeding tickets.

I don't think we shot much. To be honest, I have never gotten a ton of great footage cause you are only filming from one vantage point. I did get some good stuff when we did the 2nd supercar run and he was in the pass seat with a handheld digital camera and we could get Goot footage every time we passed or someone passed us. I was with more of the pack that time too. This time it seemed like a lot of them stopped in wickeenburg and maybe called it a day there. Too bad too cause they could have gone bonkers on those straights.
Glad you had fun. I had fun just cruising with my viper friends. We don't need no stinking lambos. Although I did play around with the aventador as we left Prescott. Scared the shit out of a few people there on highway 89.

Yes...vprbite himself appeared and was gone just as fast. Vprbite. The man, the myth, the legend. Those were some GREAT rolling shots to find. Leadfoot, did you talk to the photographer? I know you wanted a high res version for a background pic. Was he affiliated with the run or just in the right place at the right time? Also what about the Facebook age for people to post up their stuff. Anything good on there?
Either way, we got lucky in those pics. They came out great and we couldn't have planned it any better

Vprbite. I'm surprised your following a Saphire blue Miata in that last action shot??? :) Looks like you guys had a good cruise. Any estimate on how many cars made the run?

Vprbite was ahead of me when we passed the photographer....not that i'm acknowledging the Miata comment.....He was ahead of me for most of the cruise to be honest.
And the initial turnout was good, in the neighborhood of 80 cars, but i think a large group turned around early and didn't complete the cruise.....all the Vipers made it though.

Oh man that miata was slow. Apparently he had old tires on it. I think he said so something about new tires making mother earth cry. When I passed him I could see he was wearing a Hillary 2016 shirt. And whitesnake, you need thicker glasses. I that last shot that is a vert behind that miata and it's not as low as mine is.
Actually, Eddie and I got lucky and were able to jump around this truck that was taking his sweet ass time and refused to move over. Leadfoot, that red vert, and that new Gen V (first time Viper owner) were stuck behind him through all the fun twisties.
And I guess there were some warnings given to some cars. None of the vipers though. And Leadfoot is right, some of the cars (most of the Lamborghini crew and the veyron) didn't make it all the way. I saw them pull off in wickenburgh and my guess is they called it there. The copper/rust colored MP4-12c made it. And bringing up the rear was Goot. That crazy S.O.B. made it up there just as everyone was leaving and ran with the back of the pack all the way to prescott. WAY TO GO, GOOT!
