Will be looking for a new set of tires and cannot seem to find anything in stock at that size. Have Pirelli P Zero Rosso's on right now but will need a new set for the rears anyway for April. Not sure if there are any other makes out there at this size. Anyone running anything else or know of somewhere that has them in stock and, can deliver to Toronto Canada.

Am I asking too much/:t0135:

Nittos, toyos, and PS2 run flats. I run Nitto Invos on mine and they are awesome. Discount tire direct was the cheapest I found for them.

How about the Pirelli P zero Rossos that are on sale on ebay. That is what I have on the car right now. they did discontinue them in 08 I believe so, I'm skeptical on the date of manufacture on those tires because of that. Anyone know any information regarding the P zero Rossos ?

Same here.

I also run 20" Invos, I like them. I have 19" Pirelli Pzero Corsas on another car and they are sticky once warmed but spin very easy when cold.

Does Hoosier or Mickey offer anything that will fit this size? Would love to run a sticky tire on the street.

I wish they did. It would be great to have a 355/25/20 MT Drag radial with a treadwear of 80-100.

People say the PS2's aren't great but that's all I see available on both tire rack and discount tire (apart from drag radials). There are more options for fronts, but only the PS2's for rears...

Problem with PS2"s is they come in 19" sizes where as I need 20 inch rim size. Only Nitto Invos at this point or discontinued Perelli P Zeros which have old date codes since they stopped making them in 08. hate to have to change rims. Not a cheap item.

Well its down to the wire now with the weather getting better here I'm getting the itch to tart putting things together for thee season.

Any last minute recommendations on tires (345-25-20 )?

If not I may go with a 30 profile and adjust the coils up a notch so as not to rub. What is out there for 345-30-20 ?

I run 20's front and back. I had pirellis and now PS2s.

So you know, I did the measurements and the 345 Pirelli is actually narrower than a Michelin 335. Odd I know but with the pirelli my rim lip stuck past the rubber. Now it is the opposite. My rear is a 335/30/20 if memory serves.

And fwiw, I love the PS2 over the Pirelli. Much better tire IMO.

Thought I would try to help you out here.

These are the old Pirellis on the car. See the exposed lip?

These are the PS2s. See how they are actually set into the rubber about 1/2"? IDK why they are not a standard, but a 345 is not always a 345 if you compare it to a 335 PS2. LOL

Well now that certainly does help my decision.

I was looking at getting the Michelin Super sports 345/30/20 and 275/30/19 fronts. I m running the 345/25/20 on the rears and just afraid it will rub seeing as the profile is a little larger on the Michelin with the 30 profile over the 25 profile of the Pirelli. I do have adjustable coil overs on the car and was thinking I could put the car a tad higher on the rear and adjust the front accordingly but was also told to be careful as not to fiddle too much with the ride height as it might make the ride wacky.

Any thoughts anyone?

I never had any issues with the Rossos. I do occasionally bump the rubber on the inner fender on stock ride hight on the ACR Dynamic shocks. Mine were also 345/25/20 before.

I would think a 30 should be OK if a 35 just rubs, but then again the springs on the ACR are stiff so....

So what your saying is you had the 345/ 25/20 rossos and they didn't rub and now you have 335/35/20 and they do occasionally rub ?

Mopar Boy

Correct. I find I rub only on full road dips with 2 people in the car. If it is only me I don't seem to.

They also make a 345/30/20 in Michelin Super sports....the lower profile might be the remedy to the rubbing.

Does anyone have experience with Toyos in 20's?

I'm running Invos now and wanted to see if the Toyos were any better for cornering.

Best place to get them?

These are the sizes I'm running now: 345/25/20 and 285/25/20

Ebay has Toyo Proxes in 285/25/20 for $269 and 345/25/20 for $355 shipped. Anyone have a better price out there?

According to some of the reviews I have read on line. They are a terrible tire. Not really meant for a super sport car, more for compact sport and coupes. I am not sure I would swing that way even though the price is cheap. You get what you pay for right?

Appreciate the feedback, but it doesn't help me to see a review unless I know where the person is coming from. I think Nitto's are good for straight line acceleration, but too greasy for any cornering...

For the price, I may try them out and give some feedback on them.

Just in case you guys didn't know, Toyo owns Nitto. Same company, similar quality. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyo_Tire_%26_Rubber_Company

Tires, you know those things that hold you on the road, are the last place you want to cheap out on. Food for thought.

Tony, do you know anything about the Toyo Proxes in 20's? I don't care that they are cheaper than Nitto, wanted to know if they are better for cornering.

first off, TOYO stopped making the R1's and now they are the "S" line and they only go up to 325 for the rears. unless you find them on ebay and get the older versions. Also...have you seen the tread pattern !! Awful !! They look like they are half the size that they are with their borders on the outside of the tire. That alone has caused a deal breaker for many. Although Nitto bought out the TOYOS they re still the same tire as it was. Nitto does not manufacture them and just label them any different. They are not nearly as good as the Nitto line.
Each to their own of course but, I would not save a few hundred dollars when I am behind a 500HP machine with no traction or stability control. I would be looking for the best of the best for a few dollars more. The look is also important as is the rest of what I put on my car. But, that is just me. I agree with FRGMSTR's comment above.

I don't have a ton of experience with the car or the tires since I've only had the car 2 months, and the Invo's almost a week.

I can say this, I got caught about 40 miles from home in the rain and IMO the Invo's did awesome! I tried pushing them quite a bit straight line and they hooked pretty good. I tried some semi aggressive corners and it didn't feel like it was gonna break loose. IMO any tire that allows a viper to push ya back in the seat in rain is a pretty nice tire IMO. I had proxies on my 03 cobra and they didn't to so well.

Mine are 345/25/20

Great to know for the future now. I just purchased the Super Sports and saw them for the first time. I have to say, the are some deep grooves in those babies !! Lots of tread. The tire did sit exactly 1 inch taller than my Pirelli P zeros rosso

Cheapest I have found for a set of Nitto's 285/30-19 and 345/25-20 is through Discount Tire.

Rears $510

$1,458 I believe total but they are also offering a $25off discount.

Got the Michelin Super Sports for 570 each rear here in Toronto Canada. By the time I add shipping costs, duty, brokerage fees and the dollar difference, I am better off buying here.

I believe the Michelin SS is a much better tire than the Invo's
