I've seen several threads mentioning known issues with Gen Vs that people end up fixing or correcting when they occur. I thought it might be helpful to have a list of issues/items that could be conveyed to and corrected by the dealer as a precaution prior to accepting delivery. Things such as welding rotating exhaust tips to avoid side sill burns, fixing leaking oil lines somewhere under the hood, inspecting window regulators/door panels for faults or rattles, etc.... It would be great to have all these issues resolved before delivery. Any thoughts?

I imagine you would have to pay for a pre-delivery inspection that covered what you are looking for...the manufacturer won't pay it, and the dealership more than likely won't eat it.

Happy to foot the bill, just thought it would make life a lot easier for known issues, especially for those of us purchasing from out of state

Completely understand. The unfortunate thing is, a lot of those 'checks' require disassembly and reassembly which adds up pretty quick.

How far away are you from your nearest Viper tech?

Chasing rainbows.

It would certainly be reasonable to have all Warranty Service Bulletins/Items completed before pickup. Some of these may already have been handled at the factory. However, not every car has every issue. You will receive a warranty to deal with any "unexpected" matters.

I'm not too far from a dealer/tech mentioned on the sticky thread (Friendly Dealer List). Just thought i'd save myself some trouble

Unfortunately, I don't think it would work out. It sounds like a good plan though.

I would just tell them to make sure everything looks in order as if they were purchasing the car...then pick it up and enjoy the hell out of it.
