I'm about wrapping up my head/cam install on my 2000 ACR, and thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to send out my fuel injectors to get cleaned and flow tested. So looking into it its going to cost close to $300 for the service. It just got me wondering if there are any options for a new, slightly higher flow injector that are drop in? Don't want to spend the money and do new fuel rails and all that stuff as it isnt necessary for my setup, but if I could put a new injector in I would go that route vs cleaning old ones.

I used Five-0 Motorsports Injectors for my Heads/Cam set-up (97 GTS). The stock injectors ran out of fuel at the top. I believe I have the 52lb injectors. Paid around $800

I'd spend money on a wideband instead. If it's just heads/cam it's doubtful you'll have an issue unless you are surpassing 650hp. And at that point you'll need to look at the fuel pump too.

Your stock injectors are good for over 600rwhp. I would suggest a pump voltage booster if you make that much power and track the car.

Thanks everyone. I contacted Todd at A&C (who I purchased the heads/cam through) and he said the same, stock injectors should be fine. So Ill just send them out and have the cleaned and flow tested to make sure theyre working properly. Thanks again.

Just FYI. Notice the injector response time from the older OEMs to the newer Siemens. Not an issue for most, but a good data point.
