So the Nurburgring was repaved and from what reports are indicating is that the Ring is anywhere from 5-10 seconds faster than previous record attempts due to the new smooth higher traction surface.

Porsche has the 918 running on the track in which a time of 6:57 was set. Seems like the new track allows for a time that is 7 seconds quicker, so a time of 6:50 should be achievable. Based on this info, the ACR has a very good chance of beating the time set by the Huracan Performante at 6:53. Essentially if you believe that the ACR could set a time of 7:00 previously, than that equates to a time of 6:53 on the repaved surface.

Again this is not exact, but there is a significant difference. The 2018 GT3 was quoted as being 7 seconds slower on the Nurburgring than the actual lap time that was just set last week by the head of Porsche GT.

Things are looking interesting. The ZR1 will mostly likely be able to run a time very close to 6:50 so that's another car to look out for. ;)

Just to clarify: from reading the post you could be thinking the complete Nordschleife was repaved. This is not the case, only certain sections were done.

Tricky or dangerous parts of the track were repaved to minimize accidents. Repaving the straights wouldn't help much.

repaving the entire track? or only parts? what I know is that the MSC2 tires has a new compound of N1 which is on the 991.2 GT3 and it went 12 secs. faster

speaking of nurburgring, what happened to that go fundme? Cant believe it hasnt met its goal (or has it?).
Im sure there are ballers on this site that can easily donate the remaining amount, couldnt it also be a tax write off?
