Any recommendations for good Auto Insurance companies that are highly customer service oriented?

I will probably average more than 10,000 miles a year so classic insurance is probably not an option

People will call me crazy, but I have Geico on everything and they've been fine. I totaled a car a few years back, and they were somewhat of a pain to deal with, but once I got to the right person, it all worked out fine. Prices, from what I can gather, are some of the best out there. They do seem to be Viper friendly, too - I called a few companies and when I told them I was insuring a new Viper ACR, they weren't too excited about it... Geico didn't bat an eye - they just typed the VIN into their system and gave me a quote. By the way, spend the extra $5 a year to get the rental car coverage. When I totaled my car, it sure would have been nice to have that perk.

Agreed. I've had the same experience. They're prices are very reasonable too.

I also use them. You should check for your location as coverage varies significantly state to state (some with no coverage). Just transfered my home insurance over to Geico too since they bettered my coverage significantly and lowered my rate from Travelers. Their car insurance premium for high coverage on a Viper and a JGCSRT is less than half of their competition .. at least here in NYC.

We recently had our JGCSRT rear ended in 10 MPH traffic and their coverage was complete and quick! I was actually surprised at how well they worked with my preferred body shop. But that's been my single experience with a claim (hope it remains that way).

If you are able try USAA.

We traded in my wifes 2010 Mazda 3 for the Viper and the premium only went up $6 per year. 100/300k all the same coverage.

Well, State Farm has always treated me excellently on the few claims I've had. Paid me more than my car was worth (IMHO) on a car that was stolen from me, no questions asked.

just left State farm for USAA. Not sure how they are to deal with but the rates are much better.

For my Gen IV I stayed with USAA. All of the others were more money. Been with them for more than 40 years since I am and Air Force brat and grew up with USAA. Not necessarily the cheapest but check their ratings they are known for service. Geico treated my Son very fairly on a recent total of his newish Ram 1500.

I've been with USAA for several years, no complaints here.

I'm not too concerned with price and more concerned with claim satisfaction and settlement process efficiency.

After the last fiasco with State Farm which I ended up suing my own insurance, I quickly realized that my time is more valuable then then the money I saved shopping competitive rates....

Unfortunately what you are seeking can change overnight, today they may be great with paying out and tomorrow not so much. Im afraid you are searching for something that you will never be able to confirm

Don't go with anyone unless they give you "Agreed Value"

With State Farm get one heck of a deal! Just sitting in garage about $30 a month covers everything driving about $95 a month...We do have other cars, house, etc all with State Farm...

Geico here as well. My rates actually dropped a good amount going from a Corvette ZR1 to the Gen V Viper, I was rather surprised.

Geico here too. Tried Hagerty, that I have used for my 70 Charger for over 10 years, and they do not insure Vipers! Go figure.

Anyone have experience with Amica ?

I use Grundy's with agreed value, reasonable rates.

I use grindy as well. I like having agreed value and there is NO mileage limitations like most collector policies. They make you pay the entire premium once a year which I'm not a huge fan of, but it is what it is. Only real stipulations are it needs to be stored inside, and not your primary vehicle. Other than that, I've had them for over 5 years. I've never had a claim, so I can't really comment on that.

Anyone have experience with Amica ?

I use Amica for home and auto. Very competitive rates here in TX and very good to deal with on the claims side of things, at least for home. I have not had any auto claims.

Progressive for autos and house. Pricing was much lower than Nationwide for higher coverage limits and lower deductibles. Replaced roof on house years ago after wind damage. Although there is a special deductible for roof damage, maybe $2500 it is better than 9 grand. They also paid for two new wheels (due to scratches) and small front damage and paint to my Viper. They would not accept refurb wheels, they needed to be new. Front $1100 and rear $1800 plus shipping :dropdev:

Anyone have experience with Amica ?

I have Amica for home and auto. Great rates, but I can't comment on their claims settlement process as I haven't had to use it yet.

So for the heck of it, I applied for a Hagerty policy for both my cars using 5,000 mi/annum for the viper and 6,000 mi/annum for our JGCSRT. Declared value was 50K for the Viper and 70K for the JGCSRT (my stated values are just for the sake of the quotation - not to begin yet another thread on values).

The end quote was double what I pay to Geico. Actually just a bit more. That's why I mentioned before that anyone seeking insurance needs to check with several companies since what fits their underwriting niche in one state doesn't fit in another. Also your age will be fine with one company and ridiculously expensive with another.

City - that maybe the case but you don't have Agreed value with Geico . Good luck if somebody totals a Viper with them. They will use there book value which trust me is less then your Agreed value would be
Also check coverage's Geico sells lower limits on Uninsured/Underinsured motorist and PIP

I just got a quote from Phoenix Insurance and was extremely surprised at how reasonable it was. They shop several companies, and they quoted me for a Grundy classic policy. Some storage requirements, but no mileage cap.

I have shopped several insurance companies for rates on my 2017 Viper, and six other classic cars I own. The best by far is American Modern with Ford Heacock agent 1-800 678 5173.The use agreeded value.Fortunately, have not had any claims!!

I've had State Farm for 30 years and have never found any company to beat their rates, never tried usaa but did try geico and they were more expensive.

I pay $934 a year with a $2k deductible and under 7500 miles a year on a '16 gt

Don't really care about costs...

for the interim ended up with Amica as there customer service was pretty amazing and received consistent policy questions and answers from them

Still in the process of evaluating Chubb ....

Stay away from Allstate. They do not insure Vipers, at least not new ones and not in New York. I went with Hagerty (agreed value and 2,500 miles/yr limit) because I've had my '76 911 insured with them for ages.

Ended up with Amica for the interim, there customer service is pretty impeccable. I had a ton policy questions and their team really went out of their way and provided where in the policy that the answers to my questions were addressed. They spent around 5-6 hours doing things and never a bad attitude and always received consistent answers from their different agents. Cool thing to is their rental policy is for a comparable car. Their rates are pretty competitive to.

That being said I just got my inquiry packet from Chubb which is agreed value with no use limitations and the additional policy offerings are phenomenal to the point that I really don't have to worry about the viper. It ain't the cheap thought and to bring the primium price down I selected a higher deductible...

Hope this helps out others in the future
