Here is a video of a friends built engine H/C setup. This car has a direct port nitrous kit and a second stage. Should be spraying over 700. This was tuned by Ken Bjonnes which is the guy who tuned my old TA.

When you compare rwhp to similar displacement V-8's, these motors make some great numbers.

What HC package did this car have? I'm assuming the built motor is for the spray and the HC package would make the same power on a stock motor? What exhaust, headers and was there a clutch upgrade?
Thanks and car sounds nasty.

It has belanger headers and catback, Calvo cam, not sure on the heads. But this is a 13 to 1 compression motor on C16. So not your normal head cam setup.

13 to 1? Who built the crankshaft/rods etc?

Only thing I can think of is the "mountain motor" class. 800 CID, big boys.
By the way, is there anything in the world that sounds as good as a cammed viper? Geez.. Droooool.

A local guy built it. I have no clue on the specs. :(

Man, this is one of the best sounding NA Vipers I have heard. Can't wait to see how it performs on the spray!

There are a lot of BB V-8'sin the 500-572 range these days, with the price of stroker cranks and rotating assemblies, nobody builds anything back to stock displacement, the piston weights on stock mopar BB's is disgusting, so it only makes sense to go stroker...The last 572 BBC crate motor I had on a dyno was 200 rwhp shy of the Viper in the video above.

Nothing yet. He's still breaking in the motor before he sprays it. Soon though.

Imagine what that engine would do if it was breathing through a set of ARH headers.

Er.....Would it be breathing through the ARH headers or exhaling through those headers? ;D
