Good News:
1. Final pricing is close.
2. We should have product in June.
3. Cool-Aid will be available through DSE and Woodhouse.
4. We are not trying to put any Viper tax on Cool-Aid. The total cost for two harnesses will be approximately $250. The two harnesses are 10% material and 90% labor, then, we have low-low volume. The idea is help the viper community.
The only reason for installing Cool-Aid is if you drag race, roll race or want your max power back that a false IAT has stolen. Cool-Aid is not for for road racing nor for high ambient air conditions. It is also recommended that 93 octane or greater be used.
Here is the key for those that want Cool-Aid, we are going to initially build ten sets to see what the demand is. If you want Cool-Aid, contact, Doug or Mark to get on the availability list.
If anyone is going to dyno in the near future and the ambient air conditions are over 80 degrees, we can trado a COOL-AID for the before and after data. The COOL-AID will work on a stock car or the a car with he Arrow Controller. There is no need to use COOL-AID on a car tuned with HPT.

Interesting. I wonder how this would effect 1/2 miles speeds. Have you seen about what distance the iat is effected and estimate about how much HP loss it's causing? Is it a direct plug and play? What affects on warranty do you think it will have? To bad won't be ready for the NC 1/2 mile on May 21St.
From what i see the gen 4 has this problem too? did you, or possibly in the future test this with a gen 4?

It probably would not make much difference unless your IAT was heat soaked at the start. As an example if the ambient temp is 75F and the IAT shows 100F, that is a heat soaked IAT, in this case you would definitely pick up power in first, second and third gear, by the time you get into fourth gear the ambient and IAt will close and COOL-AID will not help, nor will it hurt.

This was a forever project, I would have to review a car and the service manual. Does anyone know if the MAF/IAT module are the same?

I'm in if it is confirmed functional on a Gen 4. Nice job doing the legwork and putting this together for the community.

Here are the part numbers off of mine:
Siemens VDO - 5WK97509
Mopar Part Number 05037945AA
What you'd have to verify beyond the part numbers is the calibration, which may or may not be the same (although I'm guessing it's the same). Since the Gen 4 doesn't have the nifty Stereo/NAV display with a way to display IAT in the cabin, you'd need someone with a scan tool that can pull and display the IAT PID to verify functionality.

Sorry for my ignorance and yes I did just read the 5 pages in the other thread... but is there no need for this if running HP tuning?

My car was tuned with HPT. When heat soaked it definitely feels a lot slower.

You can alter what the IAT vs. timing table does with HPT, so there is no need if you are using HPT, provided you know what you are doing.

You just have to modify the right table. Look at the original thread. there are samples of that table in the thread.

In for a gen 4 if confirmed. Thanks for all the work.
