New heads -- same cam.

"The 2014 SRT Viper GTS Venom 700R by Hennessey Performance features new high-flow cylinder heads, stainless steel long tube headers, high-flow catalytic converts, stainless steel 3-inch exhaust system and a K&N air filter. Thanks to these engine modifications, the Viper GTS Venom 700R by Hennessey now delivers 705 hp at 6,400 rpm and 695 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm.

As a result of this extra power and torque, Hennessey Performance claims the Viper GTS Venom 700R can sprint to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, complete the quarter mile in 10.7 seconds at 134 mph before topping out at an impressive 216 mph."

That's a lot of coin for a few hopeful HP.

Yah but with each new model, the barrel just gets more polished as the burrs are removed. Ha! Ha! Funny thing though is in a few years when a lot of us are taking a first nap, only the magazine articles will remain. The H-Cars are probably going to be collectible at least the early ones.

For the uninformed and auto ignorant, I completely agree.

I spoke with John Hennessey about a week ago and the going rate for doing up a Gen 3 750R is now $28,000 USD and completed here in Canada. I do thank all of you for the heads up in regard to some of your past experiences with their organization. I determined that for less than one half of that I could have the same extra 250 hp and have a more localized company with considerable experience working with the Viper. Can't wait for spring.

Sharky, nice to speak with you. Good luck with your build and I hope you get some spring weather soon.
