First off, I figure that catch cans will solve this problem, but I still wanted to post and ask the question if that's what everyone thought it was. I got home late yesterday from Road Atlanta and have not had time to pull the air box apart yet to inspect, but looking at it at the track yesterday I could see a good bit of fresh oil on the drivers side back corner(closest to driver) where the top half meets the bottom half and then running down that corner. And when I felt the drain hole in the bottom of the box I got a decent amount of fresh oil there too. No oil anywhere on the passenger side corner, it was completely dry. I've had R29 done with the reroute of the line. But I've run 7-8 events over the last year and have never noticed a drop and then run road Atlanta and noticed a lot. Could it have been something different about this track setup that caused it? I checked the oil level all day at the track and before I left to go home to be on the safe side. I do feel like, regardless I need to get a catch can setup, but it was just a little alarming that I've never seen it before. Any one have any other thoughts?
Oh one more thing, I do have the k&N drop in filter and when I took the paper one out it had some oil but not a lot on it. Do you think the majority was just getting soaked up by the old paper one and the K&N is letting more drop through? Thanks for the help!!
