It rained a lot actually. Kumho's are okay when it's damp but are a real handful with this much water. It still was a bunch of fun.

Dang, my butt took a bite out of the seat when we had just a little rain. Does look awesome though.

Huge props for taking it out in that! Great pics with spray out the fender wells and vents. Great opportunity to practice a whole range of skills!

You can never get enough practice in the rain, very humbling. Worst part was the eight hours it took to clean the car afterwards.

You can learn a lot in the rain, that's true, but I hate driving on the track in the rain. Just not as much fun to me as speeds are much lower. That is a lot of rain as well. You're braver than I am, that's for sure.

The down force must have helped tremendously!

Same with me. I just don't enjoy it as there's another variable thrown into the equation that you just can't control really...

The rain is a great tool to work on how smoothly you drive.
I wish I was better at it but I do enjoy a rainy track day. Obviously I go much slower and the lines are slightly different but it's a learning experience.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

Hey Dean,

I thought you traded your ACRE for a 458 (Oct 2016), did you end up keeping it or did you trade the 458 back in?

Inquiring minds...

Yes I did sell the ACR and bought a 458. It was gone for around a month, every night I'd have a cocktail and get on my computer and look at my ACR sitting at Gerry Woods place. Finally I realized I was an idiot and I bought it back. Honestly it's the best decision I've ever made, I've never enjoyed a car as much as the ACR. Yes I still have the 458 as well.

Fantastic!
And your rain photos from COTA are brilliant example of that enjoyment living large!
