I am producing adhesive-backed dash plaques that can be custom laser etched with your desired text. These are machined aluminum coated with a textured black powder coat. These will fit right over the OEM dash plaque with double sided adhesive tape and can be removed later as desired. These give a custom feel similar to the GTC program.

To save cost for everyone I will need to laser etch these in a group. The deadline to place your order will be April 16th. If you order more than one of a specific design it is cheaper per plaque due to the setup fees by the laser etcher.

When ordering fill out the contact form to indicate the text you'd like in each area, I will email you a proof for approval. If you miss the April 16th cutoff we will need to wait for more demand to build before I do another run or the cost will be more simply due to laser etching fees. This is a really cool idea. I was wondering if I could purchase one without laser engraving?

Do you still plan on suppling a removal tool with each order?

Sure if you want you can get blank ones.

$50 was a guess / target before I got into it. The reason it ended up being more was the laser etching fee is unique for each design even if they are roughly the same. This means sizing and orientating the text so that it looks the best. Not my fee but the laser etcher I use has never treated me poorly so I can't complain - they take pride in making it look perfect.

Earlier models have MDH(month/day/hour) listed on the driver's door jamb. I think the sticker has a barcode on it as well. I don't know about Gen V, someone here must know.

Sorry I missed that you changed to a stick on. May I ask how thick the part is in the center? I am thinking of machining the text into your part.

They are only about 0.025" thick in the center. I wasn't thinking before, not sure if you meant you wanted bare aluminum blanks but at this point they are already all in process of getting powder coated.

Not expecting to any time soon unless there is significant enough demand to keep the cost down, or if someone is willing to pay more for a one-off I should have a few extra blanks.

Just to update, some did ship today. I think they look really good. We had some issues with varying powder thickness that is slowing the process down. They will continue to be etched next week and ship when ready.

The factory is one a 2 piece plaque, a rivited plastic mold with the steel plaque over it, its tough to remove, mine is on but will need a different kind of adhesive

From my understanding, this fits OVER not in place of the original.

I didn't realize how much thicker the GTS badge is than the ACR or other badges. The overlay fits a lot tighter over the ACR and 1 of 1 badges I have. There are thinner tapes that might help in lieu of OEM badge removal. I have alternative tapes if anyone is interested send a PM, just need to figure out how to mail it.



Looks like I have a good amount of interest in a second run, I may consider it in the near future. I'm still sorting out what these actually cost to get etched.
