Got my cover and it just looks a little off in the back. Anyone have a photo of how their cover fits on an ACRE?

Check your garage. Your ACR may have eaten one of your Porsches.

I heard that they don't fit and hoping that's incorrect as I finally got them to commit to manufacture....

Without seeing a picture, I'm having a hard time determining whether it's off or not. I just got a cover from them, but no car yet, so I'm hoping it fits... Main thing for me though is to have the cover keep the rain and bird turds off the car while my garage is being built.

I'd check with Coverking, the satin stretch cover is listed as indoor-only.

I've owned several satin stretch covers for various cars, it's definitely not an outdoor cover. You will do more damage than good using it in that capacity.

Not a fan of all those creases/ pleats.

Have you sent that picture over to the Manufacturer to ask their comments? I would give them the opportunity to make things right, failing that get my monies back.

Can't say I would be pleased with that work.

Can it be ironed? Is it machine washable?

Here is mine. Definately not an outdoor cover.

Ludington1 andDewilmoth are correct The satin stretch cover is designed for indoor use only. I would look into the Autobody armor for the outdoor/indoor use and it has a 5 year warranty

The satin stretch covers cannot be ironed or machine washed, they would be a hand wash only

Easy on the paint? Or scratch city?

I wouldn't recommend even hand washing if you have light colored stripes. I just ruined mine.

Very easy on the paint. Very, very soft.

I'm concerned about wearing off the paint over time as the cover is repeatedly pulled over the wing end caps. Any issues??--Dave

How about timing of application? Do you wait for your car to cool down a bit after a run before putting it on? Or does it not matter?

I have two covers in my garage. One for my previous gen3 and one for my TA, I don't use them. My detailer always encourages me to use them. He tells me repeated use will cause me to visit him much more frequently.

I've never opened the bag that my cover is supposedly in. Unless your car is scrupulously clean you're only inviting scratches as you take it on and off.

Jon said it best "I've never opened the bag that my cover is supposedly in. Unless your car is scrupulously clean you're only inviting scratches as you take it on and off. "

Thats why I hate covers. Everything attaches to the inside of the cover as well. So if it was on the car once and that car wasn't perfect and now you have the best detail ever you are still screwed

Good to hear. My cover should be here any day. Can't wait to see it as I had something very special embroidered on there :)

Pretty cool that we had this option . Makes the car feel that much more personal.

Wearing the paint off? Yikes. That would be hilarious. Driving outside scratches your paint too. Your car has a clear coat. It will wear over time. The Viper's is about 4 mm thick. Any light marring you get from your cover is just on the surface. Use the cover it to protect the paint against real scratches if your garage is tight on space like mine. I haven't used my factory cover because its POS but I wouldn't mind a tight fitting aftermarket one. Or just get a bubble and be done with covers all together.

I think you mean 4 mils or 0.004 inches. Typically clear coat is more like 2 mils, but I can't say I've ever measured a Viper.
