Exhaust popping

Hi!i'm from norway so i vill try my best on my english:)...when my car is just idling a popping noise is comming from the exhaust,not all the time maybe 10 to 15 sekunds between.is this normal?can it bee that the car is running rich?i have the stock plugs and wires from 2000.car is running strong and starts right up,no problems.:)

Tune (or tune-up i.e. plugs wires etc...) or exhaust leaks. If no codes I would not suspect O2 sensors although it could be.

Black00gts,
It could be a misfire.
So, try something easy first...
Ensure your spark plug boots are fully seated onto the spark plugs.
When you push the spark plug wire boot onto the spark plug you should hear a "click" and possibly feel it "snap" in.
If you are sure they are all seated properly and you still get a pop sound, then you can continue to troubleshoot the issue.

When was the last time you did plugs/wires? If never, use the RC12ECC plug(champ 438) and get some new wires. Always replace the wires one at a time.

That is only 17/18 years old!

How about the rubber? Do you use a 17 year old condom, I mean tires? LOL
