This past Saturday was the first time back out at the track since I upgraded the tires to the Corsas, have the underdrive pulley, K&N drop in filter and the T/A alignment. I know it's a combination of all of the pieces coming together and me getting a little more experience, but the car felt like a totally new machine from stock. I shaved two seconds off my personal best of 1.23 down to 1.21. My buddy in his ACR-E is running in the 1.14's, so maybe not too bad for a GTS! I really want to break into the high teens, but don't know if I have anything more than that in it. The car felt so much better with the alignment and the new tires made a huge improvement. I still have a little oversteer I'm learning how to ride out and not take my foot out of it. I started in the Intermediate group but there was way too much traffic to get a clean lap. They bumped me to the advanced group and I immediately flew off the track at the end of turn one LOL. I think it was a combination of nerves, cockiness and I didn't let the tires heat up good enough, not to mention carrying too much speed through the turn. No video of that though, sorry. Other than some dust, I was good to go again and managed to keep it on the track the rest of the day. My wife was able to ride along for one of the sessions, first time she's been on the track and loved it. At least she wasn't there when I sailed off the track or she would have freaked! I have a new lap timer and will have the video overlays with the data on the next videos, but until then, here's this batch.
