Came out this morning and opened the passenger door and the interior panel has a significant gap st the top. Tried to push it back together but couldn't. Will have to take to dealer. Anyone else have this happen?23674

It's the crappy clips used in the door. Get the part number online, and Purchase an entire box off eBay for like $10. Once you pull the door panel off, replace the clips and bang Pretty hard (with the window Down) to re-secure. Buy extra clips as these Break alot and are cause for door panel rattle. Did it a bunch of times.

Yes, mine did (passenger side was loose). While the car was having other work done, tech fixed it with a clip. However, it is very flimsy, so when pulling the door shut, they loosen again.
I think I will buy some clips, as they will break again, depending on how much the door is pulled shut.

If the clips are correctly snapped into place, they will not move. Ensure that you check the female side of the clip as well. If the male side has nothing to grab onto, you will not be fixing the problem. After taking the car apart, I actually like the clips they used to get a snug fit. Only problem is how violent they are to remove and how hard you have to push to get them to seat.

Thanks both! Sounds like it's a "feature" of a low volume car. Appreciate the quick replies. The car is so ridiculously amazing that I can overlook these types of things.

That happened to mine as well. Dodge won't sell the clip by itself so I got a new door panel under warranty . . .

I guess my tech had clips lying around. Got lucky.

Not that you would be complaining with a new door panel under warranty, but the clips are readily available, part 06509673AA.

I was yet another victim. A full track day exacerbated the condition. Local dealer applied new clips and it didn't occur again. Cheap part, pretty embarrassing, but a quick easy fix.

We repaired it here at ViperExchange. She is thinking of another part not the one mentioned in this thread. Yes those clips are availble.

Guys, by any chance would this cause a door-mounted speaker to rattle? I have that noise and it's driving me insane. My door panel isn't separated like in posted picture though.

The door panel uses 5 of these clips and your door speaker uses two bolts as well that run into the metal door frame. Would need to check all your fasteners.

If you have the 18 speaker HK there is an upper and lower door speaker. It's possible they have unscrewed a bit and rattle especially the large lower door woofers.
It's not a big deal to take the door panel off but you have to remove three screws first.

I bought some of these spare clips from my local dealer, and they work, but they are different than the original ones that are in there, which are black, and the male portion is smooth, rather than serrated on the white ones, anyone else notice this?

My driver side panel is slightly loose and I think one of the clips has failed. Thanks for the info! Ordered.

Has anyone who owns a Gen 2 as well had this problem? Would the clips be the same clips? I have this exact problem on my 96 Gts. Wonder if that part number is the same?

And that's why I'm glad that my ACR-E came with 3 measly speakers :D
