Neat video done by Dodge - just wish they would have done this kind of promotion early on in the Gen Vs life. It's a little late for this kind of thing now.

Yep, that's the kind of stuff they should have been doing all along. We always knew it as a community, but the rest of the world does not. Promotional videos like this would have gone a long way towards bringing out the right message (i.e. that lots of guys who can afford to drive anything love to drive their Viper).

Ben has been a Viper Fan for a long, long time. He likely had the very first 1000hp Gen II in the US , many years back. That yellow RT10 was a beast and he eventually detuned it to make it more livable.
Ben's car came out so nice he graciously let us use it in the VOA magazine for one of our ads --simply stunning ACR in Stryker Purple !!! Ben is a solid track rat and well known on other Forums as he definitely does believe in using his cars for what they were intended for.

Too bad he isnt a member here. Ben is a certified track rat. Would love to see what he can do in the ACR at sonoma. Man FCA needs to do a video with Darius too.

He'd cut a couple of seconds off if he had racing harnesses.

I know, right? As he drives to the track in his Ferrari!!! And then drives the Viper to his office. I only take my Viper on a weekend if I have to go in, when no one is in the parking lot to ding the hell out of it.
From the glimpse they showed of his garage, he has a lot of nice toys.

It was really fun to watch Ben's career grow from the good old days on SVTperformance. Started from him rolling around in an S55 amg and gen 2s, to buying multi million FXXK ferraris, etc. His wife as also as much of a track rat as he is, they really are the definition of living the american dream. I remember when he posted about buying his dad his first Ferrari (an F355), really stuck with me; I was much younger and remember thinking what I wouldn't give to be able to reward my folks with their wildest desires for all their sacrifices for me. Motivation!

Nice video, straight to the collection among Ferraris. Refreshing to see people add this thing to their collection even if they are Porsche only, or Ferrari only. That's how you know this car is truly special.

Exactly Swex. I remember well, back in '12 and early '13 on the VCA G5 board, how all of us early buyers were appalled at the lack of marketing, in tread after thread, so on and so forth...and SRT was reading it all, to no avail.
I'm still disgusted, didn't even open the above video, and I have the original one of one, before there was a program. Too little, way too late...but still enjoying my ride, on these long, straight and wide open Florida roads.

Nice. What an evolution of cars from back in those days to now. Wish the video was longer. Sweet TDF and Stryker Purple killer among the other cars. "Fastest car he ever drove under 1 mil" says it all.

Fantastic guy he and his wife race in the FXX Ferrari program worldwide.
He recently bought his Dad a gorgeous 458 Aperta.
Shocked he didn't choose yellow for his Viper - not sure there is a brand with a track focus car he doesn't own.

Not to mention a Boss 302S race car and a Cobra Jet for drag racing. Dude has a bunch of Fords.
I'm surprised Ford didnt grant him a chance to own the new Ford GT, but I think they will offer him the higher end Ford GT coming out that is closer to the GTLM specs.

Ben has been a car addict for years, but as noted , his love for the Viper goes back close to 20 years!

Ahhhh...the life of a billionaire. "Honey what did you do today?...O not much, went to the store to buy some Cheezits and picked up a LaFerrari on the way home to park next to my other LaFerrari that is parked next to my P1 that is parked next to my all time favorite One of One Viper. It was a stressful day." Lol.

Billionaire is a stretch, and trust me I'm sure his life is full of stresses both personal and professional.
Nothing is ever as it seems in life.
Ah, that's Treynor, cool.
As a SVTPerformance guy and 5.0 shootouts and still stang bangin around on top of 18 years now in viperdom, I love the viper/mustang combo, always have both in my garage. (well, shopping for next gen5 now, but you know what I mean)
And hec, anyone who quotes Steve McQueen (aka somebody) from Le Mans, is aces in my book.

I remeber him from the AMG forums. He was one of the few guys I could talk to and get tips for modding my sl65. Very cool guy from my interactions. Glad to see people do well and enjoy what hard work gets you.

I was joking. I fully understand that everyone has their own stress to deal with, billionaire or not. That's why everyone should have a Viper. What better way to reduce stress?

Ben , is a successful guy that is down to Earth and a fun Machinehead to talk to. Work hard , play hard and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Known him for almost 18 years and he has always been a wacked out Petrolhead who loves nothing better than to talk cars and figure how to go fast. Guarantee if you are at the track with him , he would be one of the first guys to help out or just join in the camaraderie. I am stoked he still has the same crazy passion for the Viper that he had 18 years ago when we first knew each other.

The ACR didnt come out till late 2015. What they should have done is reached out to ben to order one, and then make the video early 2016.
I guarantee you that footage of the Viper at Laguna Seca on a cloudy day was done sometime in August. Lol, really slow on getting the video into production.
My brother was there the day before saying Ben was super busy, wasnt talking to anyone but the Borelli crew who were dialing the car in for the track.

You missed the point completely, marketing for the Gen V from the get go was piss poor/ non existent at best.....:slap:

Exactly. This video probably could have sold 50 cars just to people who know this guy personally. Especially in that culture of not wanting to be left behind. And the fact that he said it spanked everything under a million dollars. The dude with the same job at yahoo or oracle would have been trying to beat his time specifically. Cool video. All of this excitement is just too late to help the car other than legacy. Which is still good. At least our car is going out on one hell of a high note

Yes, and even though the ACR didn't exist yet in 2013, Track Pack cars like mine did. ANY Gen 5 is already very capable on the track, and videos like this at that time would have made a big difference, IMO.

True but there were plenty of good guys spreading like information on car forums also give a ton of credit to the dealers who post here.
Sadly one passed here who was one the best along with others including CJ on rennlist.
That's what brought me over it's good to see the highlights being brought to the forefront.
It is going out on top - can not think of a better legacy the numbers speak for themselves.
