Hello all,

It’s that time of year again for the first Mid South Viper event of the season. This will be our 6th year for the event and we have stepped it up a notch. The "Save The Date" email was sent out a few weeks ago and we have some exciting items on the schedule this year. The dates again are March 21, 22 and 23. This we have teamed up with NARRA group at the NOLA track to add a little more excitement to our event. We still have the same secure enclosed parking as we did before.

We are sending this email out to get feedback on some options. We will have the basics again in the French Quarter Friday night, Bourbon Street photo op Saturday morning, then the run to the NOLA track for karting Saturday morning 9-10:30. New options this year:

1) Pit access/parking for the Saturday NARRA races. The car classes are prototype, GT, and ITC. This would follow karting and provide access to drivers and pit areas to see all of the "behind the scenes" activity that goes into getting these cars ready for racing. NARRA will provide us with "Viper Only" parking area in paddock. Should provide another nice photo-op. No charge for this.

2) Saturday karting is approximately $95.00/driver for the three sessions. Need a yes/no if you will participate due to NOLA Motorsports requirement for a signed contract with headcount.

3) NOLA Motorsports lead-follow parade laps on Saturday from 12:15 to 1:15. There is no charge for this.

4) Autocross on Saturday at NOLA Motorsports. We need a yes/no on this, too. We can rent the pad for $1,100.00 for the day. If there is enough interest we will just divide the cost among those participants planning to autocross.

5) Solo track time at NOLA Motorsports on Sunday. In conjunction with NARRA, for $250.00 per driver you can reserve a spot for open track lapping sessions on Sunday. There are three, twenty minute sessions, and one final, fifteen minute session. You MUST have previous track experience in order to participate in this one, as there will NOT be instructors available to ride with you. This is actually a bargain considering the caliber of this track.

In a nutshell, we can split into two groups once karting is complete- those that want to participate in the historical cruise to Biloxi and Hard Rock for a leisurely Saturday can do so. Those interested in spending the entire day at NOLA Motorsport will have that option as well.
