Newbie question of suspension parts

Hi guys,

I am working on 1996 R/T and looking for an dealer/vendor where to get all new (stock) A-arm bushings, ball joint rubber boots and sway bar bushings and end links.

I have googled so far had not found place where to get them all.

Ball joint boots are interchangeable with Dakota and several other corporate vehicles. OEM quality is top notch.
I bought end links from Rock Auto (Moog & AC Delco sourced)
I've replaced all my bushings with urethane or spherical bearings.

Unless you are in a hurry you may want to wait for omalley_808 to finish his project. He is currently swapping over his bushings to Polly bushings from Energy suspension. He's documenting the process so everyone will know which ones to get and how to do it.

replaced stablilizer bar end links last weekend. AC Delco from RockAuto. Way less than from dealer.

Not yet. He said he will post the video(s) when he's finished. Right now I think he's still working on the diff install but I believe he's got the bushings in now.

I'll have the install video done over the next few days, just editing a boatload of footage to condense it into an acceptable time-frame since it took forever. Diff should be going in this weekend and then FINALLY for an alignment next week i'm hoping!

I used to follow a chevy car forum. (Sorry, it was in the past before I came to my senses)
Anytime anyone would asked a similar question the first thing said "That depends on what you want to do with the car? Daily/ street, track it, drags,...?"

If it was a street car, they would go back to the factory bushings. They preferred a smoother "softer" suspension. They did not like the "stiffness" of the ride. The polys make for a rough ride. Vipers are kinda jarring and rough, anyway. A nice, new set of factory bushing would, obviously, make for a good ride.

Don't mean to step on any toes here, just some friendly info.

I have an 04 cobra and an 85 Corvette that i converted to Polly. Loved it on both cars. They both feel more solid on the road and I really don't notice it being much harsher in the ride quality. Curious to see what 808's findings are with the Viper.

The cobra only had 23K miles on it when converted and I only have a couple hundred miles on it since the conversion. The Corvette had 120ish thousand miles on it when I converted it and I now have about 50K miles more on it (done 11 years ago). Holding up great but some of the ride improvement there was probably because the old stuff was shot.

Sorry for late reply. Thank you for info so far. Do you have opinion poly vs oem bushings? As far as I know, stock bushings are not available for rear lower A-arms, at least that what moog said.

Are the ball joints difficult to remove? I think I can go with old ones, just need the boots.

Dean what year series Dakota ball joint boots did you find work? 92-96 or 97-03?
