View Full Version : Buy my TA because an ACR makes you look like a douche what the what
:lol2::lol2:Love this sales pitch, calling other viper trims ostentatious or douch baggery in suggesting the TA is the perfect model. Mmmmmkay. Probably will lose potential buyers on principle alone. lol.

I like his reference to the RT10. What a turd. (Not the car.)

2014 Viper TA in excellent condition owned by VCA member. 61 of 93 limited production car.
Why the TA... Well unlike the basic RT10 the TA is loaded with all kind of track goodies like an upgraded suspension and carbon fiber chin & deck spoiler. Also, unlike the GTS, the TA doesn't have an insanely bloated MSRP chock full of nonsense that would make a Viper purest head spin. Lastly, unlike the ACR the TA doesn't have that ostentatious wing which has no real place other then the track. Therefore, if you're looking for a purpose built Viper that's just at home as it is on the road as it is on the track, but doesn't make you look like a douche if you're not racing it, the TA is the perfect match for you.
All books, records and keys. Factory car cover included. No issues whatsoever, all recalls have been performed and ready for its next owner.

I mean he's not wrong. I know I'm going to look like a douche in my ACR. I just don't care.

When you're driving essentially the most bad ass car on the road, you needn't care about anything anyone else thinks, you, are in car heaven.

Interesting how the Porsche GT3 RS doesn't get that status with its huge wing but the ACR does lol.

Is this the car that has been raced / thrashed? Anyone familiar with this one? I seem to remember one with no decal on the front bumper with a story behind it. Something about a guy who owned a race track???

But he liked the TA logo on the side? Yea okay.
No front emblem is fishy, could have had front end damage. Or maybe sticker just peeled off.

I know a guy who owns a racetrack who had an orange TA for sale in late Fall of 2014. At that time, it had the front emblem. As I recall, car sold in early Spring of 2015...to someone on west coast. Sadly, I do not remember the TA number.

You're getting them mixed up. Viper = Douche. Porsche = Prick. Please try to keep the stereotypes in order ;-)

Haha. I like both cars and wanted a TA 2.0 at first, but my wife, and multiple other woman, thought the wing was douchy. I think it's awesome, but happy I went with TA for the comfort and less than extreme badassness.

Good luck getting almost 90K for a TA with 7500 miles on it as well.

Some with less mileage have asked and sold for over $90k, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if values aren't strengthening at this point. Seller's already asking less, and price is always negotiable.
7500 miles should give a buyer some confidence that the engine isn't failure prone. I think most of the orange ones had the R28 recall which means it also has the assurance of the factory 10 year extended powertrain warranty. And as strange a concept as this might seem to many, 7500 miles is nothing. I'd look at condition, service records, negotiate price, drive home a spectacular Gen V at a kick-ass price... and put a TA decal back on the front when you get there!
Bet this car sells quickly.

Damn... now you're telling me that I look like a douche in a car that looks like a giant naked smurf, and that has a huuuuuge wing?
Bummer :(
I love the TA though, especially that color, it's amazing.
If the seller is a salesman he should consider converting into an improv' comedian.
