Mine was wearing my oil line so i modified it. Those of us that bought these covers before the recall should watch it closley. I thought mine had clearence. I had to take a pretty good chunk out.

I imagine xtreme changed their design with the new oiling line added after recall, but i am not sure.

No they haven't changed the design unfortunately.I just got my new coil covers and will need to dremel a bit off off to accommodate the breather hose....

How did you guys trim the corner?

I actually sent my covers back to Xtreme after the R29 Recall and Xtreme sent them back saying that there would be no change in the covers. I just reinstalled the covers so I would like to trim as you have. Did you seal the trimmed edge with anything?

Thanks!

It really is bad though, why Xtreme just don't modify the cover in the first place. I'm sure they've already made a few and may have them in stock and I guess so they don't want to trash them? If they make them to order I don't understand why they don't modify their design??

Just seal the edge with super glue.

Just goes to show aftermarket never fits like OEM

Dodge changed the driver's side engine cover as part of R29 to allow for the revised routing of the breather hose.

Correct. Some people had their pre-R29 OEM covers painted and opted to keep them installed. Their OEM covers will cause the same issue.

My covers were painted Competition Blue. Dealer repainted the driver's side as part of R29. No cost to me.
