My wife Laurelle and I have already done this and I can tell you it is a blast with the in car video and helicopter chasing you it is something you will never forget
in fact she is now the World record holder for a stock Viper in the standing mile at 171.608 MPH

100 yards wide and over 3 miles long
I did the flying 2 mile run and you will definitely know how fast your car is mine was 187 at redline in 5th gear it went slower in 6th but I have a lot of aero

You made me go back and look mine up. 2008 bone stock I did 170.9mph in March of 2012. Dammit. :) Cheers to her for kicking ass and taking names.

That sounds like an awesome event. Too bad I am in the exact opposite part of the country. We have the Mojave Mile and Mojave Magnum where they do standing mile and standing mile and a half. It is a couple of thousand feet up, so Florida should be great for power. If you have never had a chance to just let it all go and see just how fast you can go, you should give it a shot. At Mojave my 2014 GTS completely stock ran 183 in the mile and 193.5 in the mile and a half. I would love to have a chance to run a 2 mile event as I think it would be possible to hit 200 considering the car was still pulling in 6th at the mile and a half.
I am looking forward to seeing some results posted from our Viper people.
