We are completing, I believe, the last of the shock mounts for the Viper where I work. We had an order for 1200 of them.

Yep. Program and run them for a living. Great machines. These are done on a integrex in one operation.

Not to change the subject but, in the background those look like supercharger impellers from an Allison/Rolls-Royce or some other very large displacement engine.

LOL. I am betting that OP doesn't live at the plant. It is only a few miles from the Ohio border. I'm betting that he has a work visa to allow him to cross the border. :anonymous:

The Mazak plant where they make machines is in KY.
I work at "job shop" where we have Mazak machines in Mason Ohio.
We primarily do work for GE Aviation.
However, we have a lot of customers. I recently made some large Hydraulic Cylinders for "Space X".

Actually they are Turbos for trains. Again we use a 5 axis Mazak integrex and a Micron to machine the parts. We then assemble.
They some neat parts involved in this assembly.

Actually , I feel I do live at the plant. I work 60-70 hours a week and have been for 20 years.
The only time I see a 40 hour paycheck is when I take a vacation.....;)
PS:
Sorry, Have not tried to figure out how to combine answering questions in one post.

Do they ever allow you to have some "shop time" for your own stuff?

Only seen two other Gen Vs running around Cinci, good to see another owner in the area. Had no idea the shock mounts were machined here.
